Old school rants (Pass it on)
For years I’ve been wanting to get this off my chest. I really hated the unfair rule that my private school loved to implement. If most of the children were acting out, everyone got in trouble. Being a goody two shoes didn’t matter. No recess for anyone.
For me, I rarely got recess to being with. 90% of the time, I had to stay in to finish leftover work; sometimes, I even had to stay after school for hours working. So when this happened, which was a least once a week for my eight years there, I got angry. Reeeeeeaaaallly angry. Here are some of my rants going through my head at the time:
“You just had to do the worm, didn’t you Steven”
“Oh great, the principle got the babydoll out, now we’re really in trouble”
“Oh jeez, everyone shut up, the teacher told us to be quiet twice already, we’re not going to have recess”
“How did you guys manage to cancel Pizza day!? Actually, never mind, I already know”
“Who gave Steven the job of cameraman?”
