A very ugly RISE sketch featuring Baron Draxum and the baby turtles. I made this to illustrate my theory on how I think things concerning the backstory of the series will play out.
I think the Baron had plans for the turtles to be his own personal army-of-four, being living weapons and acting as his enforcers. That is, until Splinter (who could’ve been created by Draxum as well, as a test perhaps) saw what they would become, and decided to put a stop to Draxum’s plans by taking the turtles away.
Essentially kidnapping the babies, Splinter then hid them away - along with the mystical(?) weirdo items he stole from Draxum that he keeps in that ‘DO NOT TOUCH cabinet’ - until they became what we see now. Anyway, that’s just my notion from all the commotion.
What’s happening in the picture: Draxum has the baby turtles around him —Michael and Leon sitting on his lap— and is letting both Mike and Don suck on some string candy; Leo has a jawbreaker. Raph is too busy trying to choke-out Muninn (just for fun), while Huginn snickers from his place on the Baron’s shoulder. (Muninn can’t fight back either, as he knows the Baron would be displeased if his “little ones” were harmed.)
With this ugly sketch being what it is, I’m not sure if I should include Splinter frowning in the background or not.
