I've seen a slight amount of varying opinions as to what gender is best for Electra. So I've come up with an amazing solution to this issue: No one actually knows, not even their components. Whenever someone tries to ask him she responds with "I'm electric." or something along the lines of that. All the others just use whatever pronouns they assume Electra uses and I'd imagine that starts discourse at the Yard that just never ends because Electra refuses to give a clear answer. I imagine Electra does this to look cool and mysterious + it's fun to confuse old trains Are we seeing the vision...

So we are all aware of Electra's tickover, right?

Heard from the wiki that the arms are meant to mimic pantographs, which seems about right. Anyway so what if like. Electra's arms also function as pantographs. Like they can get energy by grabbing wires. I'd imagine this is how he drained the Yard's power when he showed up. From my knowledge pantographs use graphite so what if if they need to write/sign something they just use their finger. And them being constantly seen using one of those nail stick things (I think it's called a cuticle stick?? But I swear there was one that looked more like a popsicle stick that I'm thinking of (Edit: It's called a nail file) I love Connecting Dots™ so I noticed that it fits their character really well because graphite is made of carbon and carbon is also what makes diamonds. And diamonds are associated with wealth and beauty and allat. And who has wealth and beauty and allat? The They. Also I like to imagine the reason why OLC Electra (and my personal Leccy design) has those red gloves is so he isn't constantly shocking people and draining power by accident. Like Elsa but electricity.

I've seen werewolf Electra, vampire Electra, dragon Electra, unicorn Electra...

But have we considered eldritch horror Electra? Also new personal Electra design dropped

AU/Made-up StEx lore Electra is made after a comical amount of looking at references and restarting !!!

The balls at the tip of his antennae are meant to be some way of keeping him from shocking stuff because I misheard "Watch the conductor see the live wire" as "Watch the conductor seal the live wire" Also the big zappy fangs idea was very loosely based on the blue dragons from D&D + He just didn't look evil enough THE AU LORE I MADE UP FOR HIM: He was built to be basically a ragebait weapon by a company that used to make armored trains. The company kept him as distant from them as possible so all the anger from others go toward the country he's from (I'm pretty sure the US? Correct me if I'm wrong), so that then the company can go back to selling trains to the military and be back in their prime. This of course never worked out because eventually the company got put under investigation. Idk what's up with Electra but I refuse to kill off my favs so. he's probably decent. Zawg didn't even know who made him and that question probably never comes up in his head anyway.

Back on my Electra pondering grind. Does anyone know why Electra is specifically an SNCF CC 40100 and is it a Kraftwerk reference?

The reason I'm guessing it could be a reference to Kraftwerk is because SNCF CC 40100s were from what I looked up used in the Trans Europ Express and. Trans-Europe Express, like the Kraftwerk album. Electronic music, Electra is electric. Also I have half of that album in my Electra themed playlist so the connection is in my brain already.

Thinking about all the different ways I've seen people imagine Electra's charging devices (Pantograph arms in the tickovers, microbraids being plugged in and out of an outlet in the music video, various people I've seen giving him a plug tail) As I've been experimenting a bit with how I draw Electra, I couldn't figure out which one to use since all of them are brilliant. So you know what? ALL OF THEM. I imagine Electra has all those different ways of charging because they have the side hustle of being an electrical system critic. Like a fancy restaurant critic but for outlets, plugs, etc. They show up to some place, plug into an outlet there, probably cause a power outage, give the place a rating, and then leave.

Electra headcanon that switching their frequencies doesn't actually have an effect on their voice and their voice box is just broken from how loud they are. And nothing's ever been done about it because Wrench doesn't have a fix for it and Electra thinks it's cool.
