"that's hardly a question. there are a lot of truths i could tell about my children." rasa sighed. he wasn't a fan of not being specific. but at this time of night, he was worn down enough to say yes to almost anything.
"the truth about temari: she's my most talented. she's the one who is most like me in every way i could ask for a child to be like me. loyal, hard-worker, never complains. the perfect solider."
"kankuro...is a sneaky one. clearly takes after his mother." he smiled a bit, reminiscing about his late wife. "she was always playful and full of joy. kankuro has that too." he frowned then. "unfortunately, he likes to play too much."
"gaara...my biggest mistake. i––" rasa stopped. what was he doing? judging him children when he's already made so many bad judgements before? his eye for value could no longer be trusted. he lowered his gaze.
"my children, i failed all three of them. my kids have more value than i could ever measure. my opinion doesn't mean anything anymore."
