Between late May and late September, you can skim for 50 minutes above unsurpassable Alpine scenery – glaciers and spurs, seracs and shimmering ice fields – in the Télécabine Panoramique Mont Blanc from Aiguille du Midi (3,842 metres above sea level) to Pointe Helbronner (3,466 metres above sea level) on the France–Italy border, or vice-versa. My top tip is to make the most of those 50 minutes as the scenery is quite literally breath-taking and mind-blowing. Lucky for me, the skies couldn't have been clearer for the best part of the journey to Aiguille du Midi in France, and – bizarrely – there wasn't a queue to get onto the cable car. 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: If you're coming from Chamonix in France, you'll first need to take the Téléphérique de l'Aiguille du Midi cable car and then proceed for the Télécabine Panoramique Mont Blanc.
