fwiw, raydrik likely isn't the most accurate narrator of those events. he doesn't exactly seem the type who'd have a keen interest in the finer details of the history of Barbarian Nations™, and depending on how one looks at it, his description of rivough as a "royal family" (リボー王家) could be seen as suspect given fe4's establishment that it's.... not
yeah, we can’t really rely on raydrick since he is, well, raydrick.
But given how he brags about this “important piece of knowledge” to one of his soldiers I though that at least he checked his source. Still, Raydrick could be making things up and the random’d be too nervous to call on his BS!
In FE4 Rivough was totally not a royal family, but given how FE4 paints House Leonster as “the leading house in the district” when FE5 gives us Conomore and pals (and lol!Fergus) I thought it was in the general trend of FE5 giving more importance to castles/families we didn’t care about in FE4.
