Okay but what if the Smug Riko™ that we've been seeing recently is because Riko and Yoshiko are hanging out more and it's Yoshiko's influence that's made her like this all of a sudden (@the writers give us more YohaRiko in season 2 you have the perfect opportunity here plz and thank you)
I've just seen a thread on twitter of all of times that KyanShuka have posted a photo together and Rikyako has (to my understanding) got jealous and posted a sad/jealous reply and I just wanna protect Rikyako because she's so adorable,,, I honestly can't help feeling a little sorry for her with all of the recent Jimo Ai duo stuff but whatever they're mature adults I'm just reading too much into it
I feel like the Sunshine writers/KLab are trying to smoothly transition any slight hint of YohaRiko out now that You//Hane is supposedly one of the 'main ships', so now we have You calling Yoshiko 'Yocchan' in Dengeki magazine and both Yoshiko and Mari calling Riko 'Lily' in her leaked birthday messages on SIF JP instead of just Yoshiko and it makes me super sad,,, the writers are blind for not seeing that YohaRiko is a crapton better than Chika//Riko and You//Hane smh

But what if ChikaYou were initially kind of blind to each other's feelings and didn't really know how to approach each other about their own respective feelings, so Yoshiko and Riko (the most meddling girlfriends ever) decide to do everything in their power to get ChikaYou together, so when Chika and Riko walk home together after getting off the bus Riko just casually drops hints and comments like 'You-chan looked pretty today right?' just to gauge Chika's reaction, and Yoshiko does the same as she sits on the bus with You, and then YohaRiko phone each other in the evening with updates on their matchmaking.
Okay but that scene in the first live BD trailer with Rikyako playing the keyboard in the back of the practise room was so heartwarming. She's so dedicated to Love Live and to Riko and she tries so hard to make everyone happy and to emulate Riko for the fans as best as possible, and it's so lovely to see how utterly committed she is to this. She's so talented, and brave, not many people would have accepted the feat of learning the piano in 5 months and then playing in front of 35,000+ people, I've been playing the violin for 8 years and would be horrified at the mere thought of having to perform in front of that big of an audience (although that's my own problem but whatever). Rikyako's shy too. It's clear in earlier niconamas, and although she's gotten comfortable around the rest of the seiyuus now, as a shy person, performing in front of 35,000+ people is terrifying. And despite any problems she's had, she's still brushed herself off and gotten back up and now she's stronger than ever, and not many people would have the strength and courage to do such a thing. Who cares if she messes up sometimes? Everyone makes mistakes. Some people seem to think idols have to be perfect in every way to be successful and popular, but Love Live, all 18 characters and all 18 seiyuus from both series, prove otherwise. She practised for 2 hours every day. 2 hours to bring a piano performance to Love Live fans, to emulate Riko and to feel closer to her character and to please the fans. To put that in perspective, although I'm nowhere near professional level, I barely practise for 45 minutes a day, if that. She did an amazing job and I'm so proud of her, and always will be for her selfless endeavours. She deserves all the praise and love in the world and I'm so happy for her and her current and future achievements because she honestly deserves them all.
It pains me to hear Yoshiko call Riko 'Riko-san' in one of her birthday messages rip me,,, at least she called her Lily in the other one smh
I am 100% not okay with the lack of KyanRika content at the moment guys hang out plz
