my chatty deemo friend wants to find this person from youraislopbores.me and she's mostly on other platforms, so I'm doing shoutout for her... whoever you are, don't be shy :)
come here. let's talk deemo together
I redownloaded Cytus II to have a lovely autistic time like I have a bunch of times before with no issues.
My save data was gone. I turned cloud on and off a million times. Level One. On every. Character. Back to the tutorial. Restore purchase works. I have the purchases. But not the save data.
I contact support. I send my purchase receipts.
I do not, for whatever reason, have the original app purchase in my history. Poof. But every other purchase is present.
Rayark (developer of Cytus II) says: have u tried cloud save? Yes I have.
Rayark says: do u have the original purchase receipt?
I say: No. But here are all of the purchases I made WITHIN the app. (The in-app purchases cannot be accessed unless you own the app.)
Rayark: Sowwy you dont have the original purchase. Try repurchasing the app.
Me: How could I have NOT purchased this app when app purchases are 1) not transferrable between Apple IDs and 2) I have receipts for a shit ton of in-app game purchases I couldn’t have otherwise SPENT MONEY ON. And 3) CANNOT REPURCHASE AN APP I ALREADY OWN ON THIS APPLE ID???
Rayark: No answer.
Me: Still waiting.
TL;DR: A game I played for six years got my progress reset and the company is unwilling to help me recover it.
P.S. Found the purchase proof. Game was FREE. Why do they need it????
Rest in Peace Sdorica...
The loss feels like a knife to the heart.
But it's also a kick in the ass, for me to do a project I've long since wanted to make.
I want to make a video essay on the main story, just so that its out there archived somewhere in a summarized format.
Been crazy busy, but I want to. Desperately. Recording has started. Bit by bit, I'll make it happen I think...
Goodbye to the game that defied all the stigma towards mobile gaming.
Goodbye to the game that had a phenomenal story, before extensive lore became common with gachas.
We'll never forget you. Despite your flaws, you were still a work of art, and that passion never stays buried forever. It lives on in all our memories.
Via Soul, Sdorica.
Rayark Symphony: Echoes of Light
It’s been quite a while, but on September 27th, I attended Rayark Symphony: Echoes of Light.
This photo shows some of the merchandise that was sold at the concert. I bought the sheet music for Dream by Rabpit and sticker set.
Rayark’s Deemo is a rhythm game that I was absolutely obsessed with during my school days, and it introduced me to many precious songs that inspired me to become a composer. That’s why I really wanted to see this concert!
Maybe my wish reached them—because I was lucky enough to win a VIP ticket through an event on X (Twitter) and got to watch it for free!
Thank you... thank you so much.....
The concert was amazing! In the first half, they performed songs from Deemo 1 & 2, and in the second half, pieces from Cytus and Sdorica. I really love VOEZ too, so it was a bit disappointing that none of its tracks were included.
Personally, the performance that left the deepest impression on me was ANIMA by xi — you know, that fast and dazzling piano piece… The pianist played it absolutely flawlessly!
The encore piece was Masquerade by M2U! And Flassic(they organized and performed this concert) even allowed the audience to record and upload that part! I hope the recording can help share a bit of the concert’s atmosphere with those who couldn’t be there.
And look at this!
I even got to meet M2U in person, someone I truly admire, and got his autograph!!! He’s the one who first drew me into the world of Korean subculture music, and my musical taste has been deeply influenced by him. Now that I’ve met a composer I respect so much, I hope I can absorb some of his energy and become a great composer myself🥹
It was such a wonderful opportunity and an unforgettable experience!
