Raychaelwood to mix it up a little! 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 17, and 25!
A good one! (And this is a reminder to myself to finish that Raychaelwood one shot already.)
4: Favourite non-sexual activity? Video games are a common ground between them. Theyâll all happily sit down to play something, whatever appeals to them at the moment. Games that they can play on one system are the best because then it means theyâre all huddled up on the couch together.
5: Who is most likely to carry the other? Listen, remember when Michael picked Ryan up? And when Ryan got picked up in Free Play? What Iâm saying is while Ryan doesnât seek it out, heâs happy to be picked up and finds it more amusing than anything else. Ray gets picked up by both of them but heâs not helpful about it; heâll be floppy and dead weight and Michael will curse at him while he tries to carry him somewhere.Â
6: What is their favourite feature of their partnerâs? Ray loves how he and Michael still have their own brand of banter and that their friendship is the base of the relationship between them, and he likes how he just clicks with Ryan. Michael treasures his bond with Ray, and he adores that Ryan is just so domestic because thatâs something he craves. Ryan likes Rayâs dry humour and wit, and he likes Michaelâs âdo no harm, but take no shitâ attitude.
7: Whatâs the first thing that changes when they realise they have feelings for each other? Ray and Michael realise first and they try to keep things civil. They try not to make it obvious because theyâre both so scared that the other will reject them and itâll fuck up their friendship. Ryan knows that they have that special friendship that formed before he came along, so heâs so hesitant and doesnât want to intrude. Theyâre all obvious though, a little more tenderness thrown in from each of them, particularly Michael.
12: Who initiates kisses? It depends on the situation. Ray makes it casual, a quick peck here and there. Michael likes to draw one of them in when theyâre smiling, making it hard to kiss but who really cares when theyâre just enjoying it? And Ryan likes to start kisses where theyâll linger for a while, trading back and forth and just taking their time with it.
13: Who reaches for the otherâs hand first? Definitely Ray. Heâs all about casual affection, so heâll go for it whenever. Ryan and Michael both think itâs adorable and theyâre happy to go with it.
17: Who says I love you first? Michael does. They all know they feel the same, that thereâs the same amount of love there, but Michaelâs the one to put it out there first where Ryanâs still a little hesitant and Rayâs anxious about it.Â
25: Who needs more assurance? They all need some in one way or another. Ryan never verbally expresses his worries about intruding beyond when they get together, but Michael and Ray make sure to always welcome him into a cuddle pile or whatever theyâre doing if he comes in third. Michael just craves simple physical affection and reassurances, almost like heâs checking in. Ray sometimes just gets a little amazed that heâs got these two people here who want him, and itâs kind of similar to Ryanâs worries in that he needs to be welcomed in and just made to feel at home.
(written for myans when we were talking about ice cream for some reason)
Michael has his tonsils taken out, and is picky about his ice cream.Â
Michael had started getting sick more often. At first, it was just frequent colds, which he blamed on the lack of sleep he got and poor nutrition. Then, he started to skip out on heists. He felt too bad to be able to handle explosives without getting anyone killed. That was fine, everyone had missed some heists due to illness. When he started to stay sick for weeks at a time, everyone decided that he needed to see a doctor. Caleb explained that his tonsils were the size of baseballs. He had them taken out.Â
Michael was terribly specific about ice cream. After he got his tonsils out, he was miserable. Geoff and Jack both agreed that the painkillers werenât enough and that they should take Calebâs advice to force feed him cold things. However, Michael would only eat a certain type of ice cream that wasnât sold in normal stores and was generally hard to come across. âHeâs already maxed out on his dose he can take.â Jack softly explained to Ryan, who had Michaelâs head on his lap. He was letting out a constant guttural moan that was muffled by Ryanâs jeans. His feet were on Ray, who didnât know how to deal with the situation, and looked on concernedly. âJaaaack!â Michael whined. âJesus, get the kid some ice cream.â Geoff added from the couch. âWe donât have his kind.â Answered Ryan. âWhat do you mean, âhis kindâ?â âThereâs a specific kind he likes and wonât touch anything else.â Geoff rolled his eyes and sighed, burying his face in his hands. Michael continued to moan. âGo get it for him. Heâs your boyfriend.â âSo am I!â Ray asserted. âThen go with them.â So, they slumped Michael into a sitting position, Ryan picking him up, and made their way to the car.Â
They dumped Michael in the backseat, too high on painkillers to fight for shotgun like he usually did. âAlright, where are we going?â Ray asked, sliding into the passenger seat. Ryan turned the keys and pulled slowly out of the garage, not wanting to startle Michael. âJameson and Howard? I think thatâs where that weird vegan store is, right?â Ray nodded. âYeah, pretty sure.â âYou guys robbed it last monthâ Michael croaked from the backseat. There was a pause. â...Right. Ryan. You go in. They wonât recognize you if you give me your jacket.â Ryan hadnât worn his face paint in a couple of days, as heâd been home with Michael, and had left his skull mask on the sink. They probably wouldnât recognize him. âIs this a way for you to steal my jacket?â He teased. Ray smirked. âPossibly.â They pulled into the infinitely large parking lot, Ryan slipping off his jacket and throwing it at Ray.Â
Fifteen minutes later, Ryan returned with absolutely nothing. âNo dice?â Ray asked. âThey were closed. I went in anyways, and couldnât find it.â It was nearly one in the morning, and theyâd driven a ways to get there. âFuck-â Michael interrupted. âItâs on the east side. Tiny gas station.â âAlright, weâre going there.â They drove for another fifteen minutes before Michael started to complain. âRay?â âYeah, babe?â âThis really fucking sucks.â âI know it does.â Michaelâs throat felt like it had been burned with a hot poker and then doused with battery acid. It was the worst sore throat heâd ever had. Ryan piped up from the front seat. âYouâre also tripping balls on painkillers, Michael. Itâs not as bad as it could be.â âHowâs that supposed to help?â âIâm just saying itâs not as bad by comparison!â Ray spoke up, laughing. âJesus, Ryan.â âBoth of you, shut up.â Ryan spat back. âIâm going to hit something, calm the hell down.â âI love you, Ryan.â Michael cooed. âLove you too.â He muttered, rolling his eyes.Â
Ryan parked on the street, making Ray leave to get the ice cream this time. He didnât trust Ray and Michael unarmed and alone in a shady part of town. âYouâre sending me alone into a store!â âYou look 17, youâll be fine.â Ray was successful. It was one thirty in the morning when he walked back to the car with a carton of ice cream and a spoon (stolen) and shoved it at Michael. âOh thank god.â Ryan breathed out. They drove back home, watching Michael eat spoonful after spoonful in the back of the car, perking back up. Â
âYou donât have to stay.â myan or raychael you pick :]

Gentle fingertips graze against the wood of the door frame, nails digging in to almost cast splinters to the uncaring man as his eyes skimmed over wildly at the form ahead of him . He hadnât slept properly in months, even with strong arms to keep him grounded and enveloped at night. The nightmares were always too much, the blood and the screams still fresh in his mind from previous nights before as the younger tried to erase the images from his memory. He was not afraid to admit that he was scared - that the fear seeped into his bones and almost took control of his entire being - until a gentle hand or a graze of lips found purchase on his body and everything seemed to slowly simmer away.
This time⊠this time though, things were very different. Ryanâs gentle voice behind him, sounding more and more like an echo inside his brain did nothing to quench the sudden need for him to break down. He would never forget how Michael looked - limp and barely breathing in the older manâs arms as they fought of a horde of walkers that had unfortunately crossed their path along the brush, They took a shortcut from the main highway that neither Ray nor Ryan wanted to pursue but insisted on going once they caught a glimpse of  their companionâs pleading face. They knew he was getting frustrated by Rayâs shirt hanging too loosely off the frame of his body, or by the feeling of Ryanâs dry and almost waxy skin against his lips when he had peppered soft and longing kisses wherever he could. This path was supposed to cut their destination down by almost two days, and he would take any chance he could as along as he could make his boys happy and healthy.
Ryan tried to reason but he was too tired to argue, they all were, and soon the three had set out on their path. They managed to find a clean spring, a few plants and berries Ryan didnât deem poisonous, and their spirits picked up slightly at the prospect of âmaybeâ. Maybe weâll make it out in one piece, maybe we can find others, maybe we can get out of this mess with a little malnutrition and a few scrapes and bruises. That train of though halted immediately when both Ray and Ryan heard a scream behind them, turning fast to see the sharp decayed nails of a zombie embedded into Michaelâs shoulder. He swung back to fight before a hot pain filled his abdomen, looking down and freezing when he saw teeth pierced into his flesh, blood trickling down and quickly straining the fabric of his clothes.
Itâs like a siren sounded off in their heads, loud and crackling into their system as they suddenly felt the need to move. Ryan grabbed the pistol hiding in his waistband and fired the few bullets he had left, managing to break Michael free as he scooped up the smaller man and screamed for Ray to run. They bolted through the shrubbery, weaving through low hanging branches and tripping over logs as they heard the faint moans and gurgling noises behind them slowly dissipate. They hadnât slowed until a building came into view, and old farmhouse that looked like it had been abandoned for years that offered a false statement of safety. They walked up the beaten and worn out porch, stopping shortly as Ryan placed their boyfriend against the decaying grain.
âI-Iâm going to check the house out first. Stay here with him.â Ray nodded, noticing the break in the elderâs voice as he left to investigate. He knew once he looked down at Michael he would burst into tears, the anxiety creeping up as he shook the thoughts away from his mind.
âRayâŠ?â
He almost didnât even hear the whisper of his name before looking down, Michaelâs brighter browns staring back at his own. Blood had started to trickle out of his mouth, the gashes along his shoulder and side a bright crimson red from all he inevitably lost. Gulping he crouched down next to him, offering a small smile as tears threatened to spill from his eyes before reaching for the fabric of his shirt and lifting.  He winced when he saw how ragged the broken skin looked- black ooze mixed with Michaelâs own blood spilling from the open wound as he bit back a cry. He was definitely infected, there was no way of saving someone from a bite like that - not so close to so many vital organsâŠ
âStop.â Ray shook from his thoughts, trembling hands pulling his shirt back down as he focused back his attention at his companion. He wanted to hide the tears from him, the pain in his eyes and the ache in his chest but he couldnât - not when Michael himself had tear stained cheeks and the same expression upon his own face. âRay⊠donât⊠pleaseâŠâ
âThe coast is clear, no humans or zombies in sigh-â The two broke their gaze when Ryan walked back, oblivious to previous events as he watched Ray stand and wipe tears furiously from his eyes. Â
âWe- we need to get him elevated somewhere comfortable.â Ryan slowly moved, scooping up the other boy as they made their way upstairs into one of the abandoned bedrooms. The bright pink walls and princess figurines were a sharp contrast to the situation at hand, and as much as he wanted to be in the room with Michael he couldnât force his feet to move. Instead he watched as Ryan inspected Michaelâs wounds, studying his expression when he saw the bite - face falling and turning pail as his own tears bubbled to the surface. He watched as Ryan fought back a sob, leaning down to press his lips against Michaelâs forehead, the agony deep in his chest rumbling through the room as he grasped the sheets in fear. Michaelâs arm came to wrap softly against his back, running soft circles into the muscle there as he tried to calm down the gent any way he could. Ray could hear the two exchange soft whispers, Ryan nodding along to his words even though everything else about him was shaking vehemently.
He watched the man stand and turn, the pain obvious in his face as he walked up to Ray and grabbed the back of his neck, pulling him in for a short chaste kiss before moving past him and down the hall. He felt torment and a panic fill his chest before looking over to Michael, the other beckoning him over as he slowly moved to comply. Ray sat on the edge of the bed, a bit too hard for his comfort, but Michael looked completely at peace as he reached up to rest his palm against the otherâs cheek. âDo you remember how we first met?â
Blinking Ray forced a smile, a hand reaching up to rest against Michaelâs while the other reached to entwine their fingers into a tight clasp. âYou called me a useless bitch who didnât know how to use a goddamn sniper rifle properly. Then I kicked your ass in a Halo match and you sent a friend request right after.â The younger smiled at the bubbling laugh that built up in Michaelâs throat, cracking through a flood of tears that refused to stop spilling.
âYouâre the only person so far who has been worthy of a true friend request. Something tells me you were baiting me out, trying to get me all super confident only to knock me downâŠâ
âYup- ya caught me red handed. I was looking for a sweet, gentle and loving man⊠and instead I got a dude who yells way too much and has an ego complex.â Another bought of laughter broke through the room, Michael clutching his chest as he coughed up some more blood that crept up along his windpipe. Rayâs eyes widened, moving a hand softly against Michaelâs forehead as the boy below him visibly relaxed.
âRay⊠you and I both knowâŠâ
âDonât - donât you fucking say itâŠ. please Michael,â His emotions were shot, the fear and guilt and anger all seeping together as he tried to calm his mind down. âWe canât lose you MichaelâŠ. I canât - I canât fucking lose you! We justâŠâ Ray heard the shushing sounds below him, a hand ruffling through his hair as it trailed down along his temple, cheek and neck softly. Ray moved to lay beside him, burrowing his face against the uninjured shoulder as he closed his eyes tight, willing this nightmare to end.
âI love you, you schmuck. Donât ever forget that alright? Take care of Ryan for me, and yourself⊠make it to Austin in one fucking piece or else Iâll kick your ass in Hell⊠or Heaven depending on if God pities me.â His attempt at brightening the mood didnât work well on Rayâs nerves, so instead he turned his head and placed a soft, gentle kiss against the top of the otherâs head. Ray relished in the feel of it, knowing this would be the last time, and another wave of sadness crashed into him as he tilted his head up to catch Michael in a quick, loving kiss. He returned it happily, letting go when a knock sounded at the door. The two looked up to see Ryan in the doorway, distress written all over his face as he wiped at a few stray tears along his cheek. His breath caught when he saw the axe in his hand, looking up with terror in his eyes at what he was going to use it on.
âIâŠ. I couldnât find anything else. Thereâs no guns or knifes or anything here - this was sitting out by a log heap a bit into the woodsâŠâ Ray shook his head before looking down at Michael, his eyes changing as his face contorted in slight pain.
âItâs, itâs fine Ry⊠you gotta do it quick though babe⊠I canât⊠it fucking hurts so muchâŠâ Michael was changing into one of them, and if Ray had any food other than squished up berries in his system he might of thrown up right then and there. Instead he leaned down for one more kiss before scrambling up, eyeing the axe in Ryanâs hand and then looking back down at his best friendâŠ
âYou donât have to stay. If you want to wait⊠downstairs⊠if itâs too much I understandâŠâ
He shook his head violently, standing off to the side of the room  as Ryan entered, leaning into the kiss against his cheek before the Gent moved back over to the bed. He heard a small sob escape before the elder bent down to press one last soft kiss against Michaelâs lips, the two trapped and encased in their final moment before he stood up straighter and raised the axe over his head.
âI love you guys, soâŠ. so muchâŠ. alwaysâŠâ
