IC:
Character Name: Clyde Donovan
Character Age: 17
How well did they do in high school?
- Clyde wasn’t the brightest crayon in the box. Most of the time he had his attention on other things besides the curriculum. Like talking, Clyde loves to talk. Only ever obtaining anything under a B-, it’s a surprise he even graduated.
Can they drive?
- Not anymore, he got his license a few months after his 16th birthday, only to get it taken away for rear-ending Heidi Tuner after school while he was texting.
What kind of music would they play if they had control of the radio?
- Top hits, anything that only anyone has heard about, old songs that everyone knows, or catchy up beat tunes that everyone can enjoy.
How much money is on them?
- Clyde has exactly $645. He had gotten half of it from his great aunt in Florida for his graduation and the other half from the money he had saved from his job babysitting around the neighborhood after school or on the weekends. He was happy to finally quit after he got word about the road trip.
What’s packed in their suitcase?
- Knowing he will probably forget something, Clyde kept things simple. Only taking the necessities along with his Nintendo DS, and a bunch of snacks. He defiantly didn’t forget those, he also brought some old mix tapes from a few years back, just to put everyone in nostalgia if they were up for it.
Where are they going to college?
- Western Colorado Community College, since his mothers passing, his father decided that staying in town wasn’t the best thing for him to do. So he egged him to “Experience the rest of the state”, so moving out west was about the only option he really had.
Roleplay Introduction:
As only ever having to pack for field trips, Clyde’s traveling experience was very limited. Owning nothing but a medium-sized backpack and a large duffle bag his father gave him. He put all his hygiene products, liquids, and music albums in his backpack, quick access if he needs to put on lotion or someones thirsty, the typical stuff. He began to pack his clothes, a few pants, some jeans, t-shirts, and lets not forget jackets! He put them all on one side of the duffle bag, making room for his snacks, ah yes, the snacks. Not really knowing what the other boys’ taste are for snacks, he just brought a bunch of trail mix. 5 family sized bags should be good enough until they hit a convenience store.
Pondering around his room, he looked for anything that he feels will come in use for him or the group. As he looked on his desk he saw his Red Nintendo DS. “Ah sweet!” He said aloud as he quickly grabbed the electronic, along with its games, and it’s charger. Stuffing that into his backpack, he realized that he almost forgot his money. Quickly jumping on his bed and looking under it, he snatches the money and shoves that into his backpack. He looked at his phone and noticed that he only had a few minutes left.
Okay, time for Dad, knowing his dad wasn’t the best at greetings, thank you’s, or goodbyes. He knew this would be quick. “Okay Dad, i’m leaving, wish me luck!” He said as he descended the stairs. His father looked up from his newspaper and stood up, holding his arms out. As they hugged, his father was the first to breakit. “Your mother would be so proud of you, Clyde.” he said as he put a hand on his shoulder. Clyde looked up and smiled at him. “I know dad, she would be proud of you too, but I really need to go now, I love you.” He opened the front door and walked out, getting teary eyed as he went to the meet up spot.
