Beautiful sunrise this morning to celebrate last night's PBs in barbell club. 110% cleans and 106% snatches were earned after getting over some mental barriers. . Hopefully that's unlocked a bunch more noob gains in tomorrow night's class. A great Sunday at #rcfni getting some #belfastbarbellclub gains in. Power cleans, back squats, and quality technique practice time. . Lost focus for a split second and squished my beard. It's fine, just frightened. Also yes I'm very aware that the squats weren't below parallel but this was about an hour in and I was cooked. More snatches last night with a target of 95%. I'm not very good at math and put 101% on instead but it worked! A sneaky 1kg pb teaser ahead of next week's 1rm sessions. . Another great night at the barbell club with some 5x(1+3) clean and 3s jerk holds. Hard work but feeling good. My elbow much better tonight after a half hour stretch and warmup session purely for the armies. I think the Voodoo floss is working too, need to do more of that. . Z-Presses are strange; not having your lower half to stabilise and help you press weight makes one hell of a difference. It works the core, and let's you focus on your shoulder muscle development.
