There’s still time to get the new book by our photo archivist Lisa Uhrig before Christmas!
I made her take a picture with me when we picked up her cap and grown a couple of weeks ago. #SheLovesMe #RCHS #ClassOf2022 #SheGraduatesTomorrow #MeestAndMoity #DingAndDong (at River City High School) https://www.instagram.com/p/CeVOtVUOM_K/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
These are the pics I’m going to miss receiving from Imani and her tribe while at school. High school goes by way too fast, and I’m just as NeRvOuS as they are for the next chapter in their lives. I’m going to miss them all and I hope the ones that are staying local will drive to Davis to eat food with the Potato. I hope some of them will make the trek south to see Imani. #RCHS #RaidersRise #ClassOf2022 #FriendGoals #WestSacBestSac (at River City High School) https://www.instagram.com/p/CeVGrjGOwxV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Imani’s second round of senior portraits done by the amazing @lorithomasphotography! Imani is the best Imani! #SeniorPortraits #RCHS #ClassOf2022 #RiverCity #CityOfTrees (at Yolo County, California) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ca5OqyqvCq0/?utm_medium=tumblr
2021 Enderlin Scholarship Award Winners!
The Ross County Historical Society Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce its two recipients for the 2021 Colonel Richard Enderlin Scholarship.
Cater Markko, Unioto High School, is the son of Chris and Jamie Markko. Cater plans to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Akron. During his high school career, he has been a member of the National Honor Society, French Club, Drug-Free Club, and Student Council. His sports activities included track, cross country, and basketball. Cater cites his rural background as affording him the opportunity to explore, create, and find his passion for engineering.
Savannah Robinson is the 2021 valedictorian at Adena High School and is the daughter of Roy and Heather Robinson. She plans to pursue a career in music education at Ohio University – Athens. Savannah’s school activities have included National Honor Society, Adena Warrior Marching Band (serving as field commander), Concert Band, Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Theatre, Quiz Team, and the MADE/Drug Free Club. As a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, she shares her musical talents with the congregation, and serves in leadership roles in the church, particularly as the back-up music director. She credits her faith and her church for the opportunity to serve and to develop leadership skills beginning with her first stint as the FUMC’s substitute pianist at age eleven.
Each recipient will receive $2,500 which is paid directly to the recipients’ college or university of choice. The Ross County Historical Society wishes Cater and Savannah all the best as they begin their college careers and look forward to seeing where life leads them following their college graduation.
Note: The Ross County Historical Society awards scholarships from its Col. Richard Enderlin Scholarship Fund during odd-numbered years and the William H. & Elizabeth Lynch Nolan Scholarship Fund during even-numbered years.
