What is the Polyam Partyweek?

The Polyam Partyweek is an event made to celebrate and shine the spotlight on our favourite throuples, foursomes, and moresomes!

How does the event work?

PolyamPartyweek is a prompt style event with a twist. We’ll post a set of gifs to give you all unique and different kinds of prompts. These are meant to inspire people to create art, fanfiction, or whatever they want, to celebrate polyamorous pairings with more than just two characters!

People can tag their creation with #RDRPolyamParty either here or on Twitter to get reblogged/retweeted by the affiliated blogs.

What’s the twist?

The prompts post will contain three different gifs that act as prompt generators.

One gif will contain different fanfic tropes (fluff, roommates, or enemies to lovers, etc). One will contain different objects that may act as a prop (a clock, a horse, flowers, etc). And the last one will describe a setting (coffee shop, around a campfire, etc.)

How to we get our prompts?

If you’re on PC, click and drag each gif to find out which random prompt you’ve gotten. If you’re on your phone, take a screenshot of the gifset and the picture will reveal your prompts.

I don’t like the prompts I got, what do I do?

You can always generate a new set of prompts or just pick the ones you feel inspired by. The idea is to take all of the three prompts and integrate them into your creation, but this is not a strict requirement if one of the prompts hinders more than helps you. Our goal is to encourage others to create, so we don’t mind how you get there!

I can’t participate during the week, can I still create something afterwards?

Of course! The gifset will stay on this blog for you to come back to. You’re always welcome to create something with it even after the event is over. Just be aware that the response to posting within the hashtag might be a little slower after the week is over.

Who can participate?

The event is open to everybody! While we are affiliated with the RDR: Safe Haven discord, joining is not restricted to members. The affiliation actually requires that all events be completely accessible to all interested parties!

Am I only allowed to create for polyam pairings?

Ultimately, you’re free to create content for whichever pairing you’d like. However, please keep in mind that this event strives to shine a light on polyam pairings who often get less fandom representation.

You are welcome to use our prompt generator for couple fics, but please do not tag them using the #RDRPolyamParty tag, this is solely to promote OT3+ content.

Who is hosting the event?
