Unfortunately for everyone in this room, it was one of the only places Lark could go that was even moderately suitable for him that wasn’t actively getting in certain people’s way. Nevertheless, even here he felt himself bringing the mood down -- sitting wasted in a corner, dressed in nothing but a large black trash bag. Fitting. Now he really looked exactly like he felt. He spotted Kai passing by and grabbed the poor sucker by the arm. “You. I need to talk to you,” his words sloshed together in his inebriation, “It’s important. I need you to hear me out, just this once.”
