Cine-Dippers is 1 year old!
We made it a whole year. And what a great year of cinematic discovery and excitement it was. We started in January of 2015 with Jacques Tati and ended the year with Silent Film. We’re hope you dipped to your dip delight and contentment. But undoubtedly there were dips you missed or months where you couldn’t focus on dipping as much as you hoped. That’s what this month is all about.
Any film that fits any of our themes from 2015 is fair game for a dip this January. To remind you, that’s: Jacques Tati, Independent Black American Filmmakers, Film Noir, Animation, Boundary Pushing Nonfiction, Terrence Malick, Japanese Golden Age, Espionage and Political Intrigue, Soviet Films, Not-Too-Scary Scary Films, Classic French Cinema, and Silent Film! If you can’t find something to like and something you’ve never seen among those, you are a filthy liar. Get the dip outta here!
For the Short list, we’ve included one film from each month. However, feel free to browse the past short and full lists to find films you missed. Or maybe you know what you wanted to watch already. Get to it!
