How to Add Reaction Roles Using Carl-Bot

i’ve seen a lot of people who don’t know how to do this but want to so i thought i would make a post on how to do it!!! i hope this is easy to follow, but if not you can find some youtube videos!

1) you first want to make sure you have made the roles you want to give to people and you have selected which emoji’s you will be using.

make sure you have carl-bot on your server. you know its real when he looks like this and has the little bot tag next to his name

2) next you go to the carl-bot website. when you get there it should look like this

to get to the reaction roles setting you need to scroll down on the bar on your left-hand side.

i underlined the one you need to click.

3) once you are there it should look like this

you next click the create new reaction role button

and it should open a thing that looks like this

make sure it says post embeded and under that where mine says #general you put the channel where you want people to get their roles.

4) you put what you want it to say in the Content box and if you want emojis make sure to put the emoji name in between : those. it should look like this :emojiName: 

i put those emojis and whatever is outside of the two symbols will be regular text. You click add emoji and add the emoji that you want them to click to get the role and you add the role that goes with that emoji. once you are done click create and it should work!!
