- Carl Shipman Nottingham Bus Station Early Mid Nineties - My recent conversation with Matt at @welooksideways Podcast touched upon the subject of The System Magazine. - There were three issues of The System in the early nineties before @sidewalkhorse and I managed to get ourselves roles making the last ‘phase’ of @readanddestroy - Issue One had Sal Barbier at the first version of Mount Hawk Skatepark on the cover. - Issue Two had the Birdhouse team composed of Willy Santos, Ocean Howell, Mike Frazier and our stand-in for Tony Hawk, Frank Messman on the cover. Reservoir Dogs really was the film of the moment. - Issue Three had Bradley Garner liberating his legs in Milton Keynes on the cover. - Carl was a great sport and agreed to meet us at Nottingham Bus station for the cover of issue Four (which I guess would have been horizontal?) with our photo copied graphics and crazy ideas. But we ended up using the picture to announce our arrival at RaD in RaD instead. - Geoff Rowley Uni Banks Liverpool 1994 - @readanddestroy in collaboration with @lostartshop have a mini exhibition currently on display @ropesandtwines bar and cafe in Liverpool. - Should be a celebration of some of many personalities that great city helped create in the late 1980s and through to the 1990s. - This pair of Geoff’s didn’t quite make the cut but a couple of others did. - Exhibition is on until mid January.
