Magazines are popular with our readers at Cheshire Library and there are more ways than ever to access them!
Prefer traditional paper? The last decade or so has been tough on print magazines. Favorites such as Newsweek, Glamour, Cooking Light, Vegetarian Times, Redbook, and the Ladies’ Home Journal have ceased publication or switched to a newsstand-only or digital-only format. Others have reduced the number of issues per year. But even with the decline in print magazines, there are still great new titles popping up.
Downloadable magazines are a great option as you can read them on your tablet, phone or computer. We have two magazine platforms available to our CPL cardholders, RBdigital and Overdrive/Libby (non-CPL cardholders, check with your local library to find out what digital platforms are available there).

Interior designing is a growing career field with increasing importance being given to the aesthetic appeal of various spaces -- be it the office or the home. The better your space is designer, the happier and more positive you will tend to feel when you are in that space. A student needs to possess excellent creativity and should be able to generate unique design and styles to suit the client's taste and personality. This is a subtle skill. 2. AESTHETIC SENSE: A student must have a very good aesthetic sense which can be acquired by getting good exposure by reading magazines, viewing various appropriate websites related to interior design. Also, a student can visit various sites completed by top designers and study their designs. 3. BASIC HAND DRAWING SKILL: A student needs to have excellent basic hand drawing skill which will help them during sketching and designing. Creating design sketches is one of the fundamental skills that a student needs to pursue because they will need it
