Day 57 Something that didn't want to leave the notepad. Holding his own hand he stares out the middle of a ten storey building. Hours pass he kisses smooth petals of a dark red rose his nose taking the scent of a broken heart, someone's. Traces his mind back to the afternoon, his eyes following the grey cobbled steps into the arms of this damp red. Dark damp red rose touched by worn shoes and the skin of a stranger. Examining thorns on the stem, he counts five. A speck of blood on one he runs his tongue over; saliva against the blood of an unknown.
