HAPPY SATURDAY, INVESTIGATORS!
Welcome to Swiftie Murder Mystery INC. I'm honored and excited to have you be part of this really special project I've been working so hard on, so thank you for taking time to do this with me! A bit of an explanation as to how this will go follows as well as other fun information, and I will be posting several clues that you can check out and chat about, respond to, etc!
The main goals here are to have fun, treat others with kindness and respect, and solve a crime! Let's get to it!
Your final solution answer must be submitted to this blog's ask box. Make sure you don't hit anonymous so I know who you are. If you can include information as to why and how the person got away with murder, even better!
There is no one winner of this game. If you solve the case, with or without the help of others, you've won!
Clues will be posted as we go along and you figure things out, but there is a time limit - Monday, April 27th, will be the LAST DAY to submit a guess and when the final answer will be revealed! That gives you almost a month to go through clues, discuss with others, and come up with your final answer!
I want to reiterate a few things before we get going: kindness and respect permitted ONLY. If you see anyone acting cruelly to another player, making it more difficult on them somehow, anything at all even if it's to you yourself being affected negatively- please tell me immediately. I want this to be a safe space (except for the poor victim, Paul...) for everyone to have fun in! So you will be blocked from participating if you cannot be nice.
This is a game for FUN. NOT REAL. FAKE NEWS. DID NOT HAPPEN.
This game was inspired by HuntAKiller Murder Mystery Games which I highly recommend you check out.
I'm a seasoned vet having done 3 successful in-person murder mystery parties, but doing one here with all of you will be a new and fun experience for me - please be patient if I get anything confused or stumble here and there. I'm doing my best to ensure it runs as smoothly as possible!
Finally, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your interest in this little game and passion of mine! I love creating, I love giving others the opportunity to have fun in new and interesting ways, and this felt perfect. So, have a blast, solve that murder, and bring the killer to justice!

Holy I love Halsey. What are you thinking of the new track releases? Even the ones you’ve heard before.
I hadn't listened to them in awhile and god, they're so fucking good. Halsey is just such a brilliant songwriter!!
I'm so glad we finally have the full, complete version of this album. I wouldn't have changed the initial tracklist, and I see why they had to be cut at first, but I truly think "Charades" and "Afraid of the Dark" and "Alice of the Upper Class" are among some of Halsey's best songs.
"Lucid" and "Carry the Weight" are really fun too! I was glad to be able to finally hear the production clearly, since all I'd heard before was from cell phone concert footage, lol. They're both more layered than I initially thought. I love them.
What are your thoughts?? Standouts after the first listen?? <3
Thank you for recently becoming obsessed/ re-obsessed with Daredevil. You’ve been throwing me back into feelings for my miserable Catholic man. 😈
you're welcome i am doing my part 🫡🫡🫡
MERRY CHRISTMAS JO @readysetjo 🎄❤️

Hey Ashely!! Happy Galentine’s Day!! How are you treating yourself this weekend??
hi jo! ❣️ i have a few fun plans this weekend. i'm going to a valentine's party tonight, watching a horror movie for friday the 13th with my college friends, baking lots of things as usual, finishing my current wlw book, and making taylor edits. oh and i plan to go to the store and raid the candy clearance aisle lol
Here is my artist swap album for you!
Like you said, let me know if this is a bad fit for you. Thank you for having some fun with me!
An artist I was surprised to not gain recognition was Sean Hayes and I love his album Run Wolves Run. He’s unconventional and has inspired me a lot!
The combo of the cover (a tender embrace to an animal that's lashing out) and the title (Run Wolves Run) makes me very curious. Oh and now I notice the fingerprint details like this is a beloved photograph
When We Fall In - Loved how this started with a burst of energy, the flow of the song is so nice and I really love songs that use repetition interspersed with new lines / twists, and love the way he sings "I am in (mmmmmmmm)"
Open Up A Window - There's kind of a sultriness to this that I like a lot, I'm really enjoying his style so far (saved both songs to my deep dives playlist)
Garden - Album has a great flow from song to song, I think this one is more an album song for me (enjoy in context of the album but not as much individually), love the little outro
Powerful Stuff - instrumental on this is soooo good, the way he sings "toxic turning, yearning, burning" omg my favorite
So Down - his voice has a really specific sound in this one idk how to describe it like it's textured? Adds a lot to the song I think, you got that moon in ya you're like the night sky 🌌 love that line
Gunnin' - from the first line I know this is gonna be my favorite, the rhythm of the lyrics is my fave for sure and the instrumentals are so catchy, yeah def my top song from this album so good
Shake Your Body - similar to garden I think the level of repetition makes this more of an album song for me but it keeps the flow going and works well
Me & My Girl - oh this feels like a vibe shift a bit to me, very interesting, I like that there's a story-like feel to.the start
One Day the River - I really like the nature themes and also the fact that this continues the river imagery from the last song but with a vibe shift again, run wolves run (roll credits!)
Soul Shaker - potluck romance ugh love that, this one is really pretty and I love the rhythm of the vocals, def one of my favorites, the instrumental solo around 2:20 so lovely
Stella Seed - the slow start to the album closer makes me feel things, love when an upbeat album closes with something much softer, so gorgeous and a perfect closer
Okay I'm not great with genres so I was reading his bio and it talks about blending a bunch of genres and I think that captures it. It all flows so well - a lot of "bounciness" and emotion in it, but also distinct feelings to the songs. The instrumentals are so fun and interesting. I keep thinking this with a full band live must be amazing. He also has such a specific style to how he sings lyrics and I find it so satisfying.
Definitely an album I'll come back to and added most of the songs to my playlist!!
Spotify #98
And now you feel like a melody I kinda wish I wrote
I swear that I'm almost hearing you, yeah even when I don't
You find a way to stay next to me, in my car and in my clothes
In my blood and in my bones, yeah you're everywhere I go
Everywhere I Go by Wild Rivers
