30 minutes from La Mesa, we ran into the snow. 30 minutes from La Mesa, we ran into the sea. Never have I seen such wonder in my friends' eyes as I did while we walked side by side through the snow and then arm in arm down the sandy boardwalk. We are more fortunate than we will ever know.
