This man is flushing a light pink and is pretty enamored that you are wearing his standard gray sweater around the lab
(If you’re ever able to find this sweater off of the man long enough to put it on yourself that is)
That boy is trying SO hard to focus on the task he’s working on, but his eyes can’t help but move to you
If he catches you subtly smelling the cologne in the collar his breath will hitch and he’ll begin to babble about the project to refocus his mind
Remark how wonderfully he smells, he’ll snap his pencil clean in half
Crawford really seems to think through his words carefully, it’s probably very easy to mistake his quiet fidgeting as discomfort
He’s not so much shy as soft spoken, he really seems to mull over everything logically before making a comment, and it’s just as true in this scenario
He certainly looks adorable with the blush creeping up his neck and giving himself more than one papercut fidgeting with the stack of papers he’s working on
It’s hard for him to complain when you’re smiling softly and thumbing the sleeves with your fingers as you scan through lines of code
If you do start to worry about it and try and offer it back, he quickly tells you it’s okay and you’re more than welcome to it if you ever want it
(And if in the days to come he quietly leaves a sweater of his on the chair next to you, asking if you’re feeling cold at all, please play along he’s trying his best here)
He’s not slick
If he gathers enough confidence to do it, or let’s his guard down enough to let it slip, he’ll end up mumbling about how beautiful you look
His eyes are the size of dinner plates afterwards, but the smile it brings to your face makes his heart skip a beat
It may take a while and a lot of pining, but give him patience
He will find ways to make it clear just how much he cares
