＂  i’ll  survive.  ＂  doesn’t  he  always?    —-    though  thankfully  today’s  near  death  experience  is  far  less  traumatising  and,  admittedly,  entirely  his  own  damn  fault  for  being  too  enthusiastic  with  his  apple  -  bobbing.  it  turns  out,  diving  headfirst  into  a  barrel  of  water  without  any  real  finesse  or  structure  isn’t  a  smart  plan,  especially  not  when  the  person  doing  the  diving  loses  their  footing.  finger    &    thumb  pinches  his  nose  to  rid  it  of  excess  droplets  while  head  vigorously  shakes  away  the  remaining  drench,  like  a  dog  that’s  just  escaped  from  their  bath.  he’s  at  least  relatively  unphased  by  the  whole  ordeal.  they’ve  been  through  worse,  right?  harry  more  than  any  of  them.  ＂  this  is  why  me  mam  never  used  to  leave  me  unattended  at  the  faire  as  a  kid.  ＂  he  attempts  a  joke.  something  that  breaks  away  the  tension  of  how  long  it’s  been  since  he  saw  the  other.  one  whole  untimely  demise    (  and  a  scarper  from  the  wix  community  on  seamus’  part  )  unsurprisingly  put  some  hefty  distance  between  them.  he  doesn’t  want  to  make  a  big  deal  outta  it  though;    imagines  that’s  something  harry  gets  enough  of  from  other  people  and  if  there’s  one  thing  a  finnigan  can  do  without  much  struggle,  it’s  ignore  the  uncomfortable  in  favour  of  playing  it  cool.  palm  lowers  back  down  to  clasp  the  other’s  shoulder,  letting  out  a  low  chuckle  as  he  holds  back  the  you  look  good,  for  a  dead  guy,  and  instead  manages:  ＂  think  i  could  go  in  for  a  round  two?  i  almost  had  it  tha’  time.  ＂
