REBOOT DONNIE LORE DUMP!!!!!
@kitsipher, @helenlenich, and @solemni... I uhh want you to know that you guys gave me the confidence to post this here- I always wanted to but I thought nobody cared about Donnie let alone his Reboot version... and worse, I would thought it was extremely cringe 😖
SOOO THE LORE WITH SOME CONTEXT!
The reboot au lore is that welcome home was rebooted after og Wally did something horrific and got the og show cancelled. Reboot, the new Wally for the reboot show, was made with ink from the og set which is slowly driving him insane.
Donnie comes around this time!
The Boss has a few problems he needs to solve, and Donnie is the solution to all of them!
Problem one. Wally is having blackouts and keeping secrets from the boss, so the boss needs a spy.
Problem two. The show is dipping in views, so the boss has to spice up the show.
Problem three. The shows main investor has two kids that REALLY want to be in the show whenever they want! So the boss needs to make them characters that can insert themselves whenever they want.
And so Donnie was made with the same ink that made Wally!
How Donnie fixes problem 1: Donnie is part of the main cast! He can spy on Wally when he is on set, at fan meet-and-greets, and when he is off set! Donnie is supposed to report odd behavior to the boss and make sure others don't see it!
How Donnie fixes problem 2: Donnie is a fresh new face! He's basically Wally's biggest OP in a silly competitive way, always trying to prove to each other who is better!
How Donnie fixes problem 3: Donnie gives the two kids (I've been calling them Lenny and Penny) the opportunity to come onto the show as Donnie's younger siblings! Sooo, Donnie was MADE with a brotherly love for them. Donnie was designed after them as well!
Since Donnie is spying on Wally, Donnie can't tell Wally that he was made the same way Wally was (by the company with the ink)
Wally does eventually go crazy to the point of murder... And Wally is especially angry with Donnie. Wally had found out that Donnie was a spy, that Donnie has been the saboteur for all relationships Wally attempted to make... And that Donnie knew of the abuse Wally had to go through by the boss. (Donnie ligit a fake friend💔)
So Donnie AND his siblings are top on Wally's hit list💀 but obviously Donnie loves his siblings so that ain't gonna happen do worry~ I mean- Donnie isn't going to win the fight but- at least he saves the kids👍
