Who is more conniving, Red or Liz?
Well lets be honest, they’re both conniving, each in their own special way. Now Red is the master manipulator. He’ll connive and conspire all day in all manner of illegal activities and wear it like a badge of honor in most cases. It’s all part of that symbiotic relationship he’s entered into with the FBI. They get a blacklister and Red gets whatever it is that he wants or needs. Not too much harm done (in most cases cuz even tho Red is my guy don’t think I’m not still salty about a few of his shenanigans)
Liz is a much different type of conniver. She might even win the prize for sneakiest of the two since she has absolutely no problem lying to Red’s face or anyone else’s for that matter. She also wins the trophy for most narcissistic. That’s pretty much the trifecta of BAD and her conniving has had some pretty dire consequences. It’s the blatant disregard for others that sets Liz apart. Her conniving inadvertently led to the harbormaster murder. Not her intent but she certainly forgot all about it when she took Tom back. She could also have prevented it had she simply asked for help in dealing with that impending disaster that she set in motion. Her conniving led to Red tripping at Cape May, for which she never apologized nor cared to find out just how much pain she had inflicted. She connived Red right into prison and straight to death row (whether she intended that last part or not but come on even Liz isn’t that dumb not to expect it)
I don’t agree with everything Red has done believe me. Some of his actions are inexcusable (mostly just out of character bad writing) but his intent would never be to harm Liz. It isn’t conniving to not tell someone a secret or try to protect them from a history that they really don’t own.
But it damn sure is conniving to emotionally manipulate a man that cares for her and her child, using that child to draw him back into her life after a betrayal only to betray him again and again.
Red and Liz are both flawed but there is something in Liz’s capacity for cruelty towards Red that makes her actions more despicable imo. Honestly they need to work all this out in couple’s counseling and give us a break. Cheers
Red and Lizzie | Battlezone
That’s how the series is going to end right? Liz and Red walking through the park with their daughter between them?
Watching The Blacklist Season 3:

Lizzy it’s alive = betrayed Red??
He fake his dead, he let Lizzy believed that, he let Lizzy suffer for him.
TBL comic has been recognized as Canon. I hope the writers room remember that.
