Il Bosco is Christian Wood AKA Woody FKA Crowhead FKA ½ of The Nudge. Il Bosco runs Red Laser Records, home to the ‘Manctalo’ sound (somewhere between House/Disco/Italo). He also puts on Red Laser Disco parties with his ‘crew of mint G’s’ and even finds time to review cigarettes and wine. Anyway, this EP is a killer of immense proportions. It is music to blow your mind on and off the dancefloor. The EP kicks off with Bridge Theory (Il Bosco and Metrodome fabric of time rip), which hits hard courtesy of agitated synths, heavyweight percussion and a cool synth/key groove. We Apologise For The Long Delays meanders along nicely in a half burning stuttered way. The original version of Bridge Theory is a synth lovers dream and proper uplifting tackle. Hot Car, Ugly Driver rounds off the EP with a disturbing phone call, a monster of a bassline and some dayglo keys. I’ve been a bit slow with this review and there’s only 150 of these beauties available (comes with a free print of Woody’s ‘Bridge Theory’), so you better get clicking super fast. You can probably source one at a normal price online (or better still in your favourite record shop) before the discogs sharks get on it. Proper mind melting music! Ace!
