Chapter 2: A hero, a cat and home.

"Lacrima, give her another chance." The man in his hero suit was talking to her, he has a decision. So now, Red Volt must ask Lacrima to stop hunting Cat down, he will take care of her and teaching her how to be a hero. The voodoo woman looking at him, that is it, she saw that small figure hiding behind Volt. Cat wasn't sure if this will working out or not, but now she has put her trust on him. There's nothing to doubt about her loyalty, Cat knows she will never ever betraying Red Volt. As he was the person who protecting her from Lacrima's hunt. The little cat held on Volt's legs and looking up at her, she was scare. "You have your decision, i see. Go ahead, but remember, you also have a responsibility for all of her action from now on.", Lacrima puts her pipe down and smiles, "....teach her carefully. This child is unexpectedly. I'm counting on you, Red Volt. " That was a yes. She's free from Lacrima's dark magic, from now on, her new home will be whenever Red Volt go. A stray cat has found a home. This kind man has done so much for her but she didn't know how to repay him. Of course, she's dead. He's dead. His duty was only to take care of Cat until she was strong enough to stand on her own, maybe the only way to do that is not letting him down. 'Maybe I can fully trusted him.' , little cat looking up at the hero who still talking to Lacrima with a proud tones in his voice. Cat didn't hear much about what he talking about, she mainly focus on remembered his appearance, his scent. It was very important for cats to remember their owner's scent, so that they will never got lost. This is just her natural act, nothing was wrong about that. The girl would call Red Volt 'master' or 'owner', but Lacrima has taught her not to call him that, the woman knows it will makes the hero feels weird. Cat was drowning in her own thinking as the cat instincts took over her again,her ears twitched as she heard Red Volt says something about 'undead teacher ', 'potential in her' and 'your training started now, Cat'. Training started now? Little cat quickly woke up as she heard that. Confusing a little bit but she quickly got her spirits back and puts her paws on. "I'm ready, Volt!!!" , her voice was full of energy as Cat was happy. She never been so powerful like this before, maybe it's came from her positives. Red Volt nodded as he leads her to a portal which connects to the human realm. "...but can ghost walk around the human realm at all?" It's not working the way Red Volt planned, he cannot walked through the portals. There's something holding him back, but not happened to Cat. Because her body was fully reborn here, as a revenant so traveling between the realms never be a problem to her. But it's not the same for Red Volt, he isn't a revenant. As they were stuck here, Cat was thinking about giving him a charm. She have three of them, two on her head, one on her tail. These charms having a cute cat head shapes and a bow behind them, even looks cute and might be mistake as a normal accessory ,they are very important. If a ghost have it, then they can freely traveling to the human realm without getting fading away. The underworld charm also keeping Cat's sewing body in place, if she lost one then nothing gonna happen but her sanity will be out of control sometimes,if she lost two, her sewing marks will getting weaker and might falling off anytime, and if she lost them all, her body will rotten. But Cat never cared about it. She quickly took off the one on her head then gave to Red Volt with both paws and smiling happily, "Take it, Volt! Remember to keep it with you all the time!" The hero takes it and smiles back at her then he entering the human realm. Cat walked behind him and she looking around, it's so different. The crowding city it is, so many human walking around, but they all stops to look at them. Then a second later, all Cat heard was screaming and people running away from them. She not understanding this, what's the problem? Red Volt looking down at her then puts his hand on her head, this was telling her everything is alright, he just realized the reasons why. It's their appearance. The man was wearing his torned suit and there's horns on his head, his speed demon form was active after he had the charm, and the girl just bloody, the dried blood on her limbs is a proof of how her torned apart body was sewed back together. "It’s alright Cat, people are scared of what they don’t know, just slowly show it out..... or they just scared of me." The best thing to do is not letting Cat to think about this too much, Red Volt telling himself that then he scratching his helmet thinking of what else to say to distract her from this. He knows this small child was over thinking a lot and it shouldn't be like that! A confused looks on her face told Volt that just forget about it, she don't even understand. "...just ignore it, Cat. They will getting used to us soon." "They such a coward! But anyway meow! Let's start the training!!" Cat stretching herself like a cat then being excited still, just like what Volt thought, she not even bothered to talk about their looks. He about to tell her of their very first lesson but quickly realized her bloody ans messy body, they just went back from the underworld so of course! Even himself looking messy too, obviously not a good way to start a hero lesson. "Before we start, just go to my place and clean yourself first. Hop on!" Red Volt kneels down as Cat climbed on his back and holds still there, she didn't question or saying anything. A cat's submission to their owner sometimes pretty solid, they believed everything the owner said or commanded, so doesn't matter where Volt brings her to, she would not doubt him. But more than that, Red Volt is her mentor, how can you even learn from your mentor if you not trusting them? He ran full speed back to his place and puts the girl down. She was surprised to see Volt's house, no, a mansions. It was huge and fancy, Cat not remember much about her past, but probably she have never seen a mansion before. It's hard to believe that Red Volt was living here, since he's a low-key rich guy with a bad taste in fashion, he just chuckling at Cat's reaction seeing his place. He thought that was a silly but cute reaction, because it's the normal way for a young kid to act in this situation. "Let's go Cat.", he pressing the passwords to open the gate as Cat still looking around with her curiosity, a human part told her to stick to Volt, a cat part told her to run around to see. But before she could decided, Cat saw an old man right front of them with a shock look in his eyes. She quickly hid behind Red Volt but still listening to their conversation. "..Who are you..? WHY ARE YOU WEARING MY SON'S CLOTHES!?" "It's me Akira! Your son!" The angry man shoots Red Volt in the chest right away was his butler, Hank. He probably shocked to see Volt, but it's not so surprise if you saw a dead person coming back to life. After seeing a bullet hole on his chest, Red Volt quickly turned around to check on the little girl quickly, she shook her head. Cat was way shorter than his chest so of course she is doing alright, but she held his shoulder and being worried. "Who is he, Volt?..." "My bulter, he took over to be my father because my parents was doing nothing." Cat saw a hole on his chest, her ears was laid down sadly. "...he shoot you. He didn't believe you, Volt! Are you alright?..." " I will cover it up later.. but now!", Red Volt stood up all straights and proud as he facing his own bulter who now his father, with a very power voice, he speaks out loud, " If you don't believe me, then go ahead and kill me Hank! Kill me!" "I would be even more happier to bust the lead in your head!", Hank loaded his gun again and pointed at Red Volt's head, but the man showed no fear under that mask. He knows the secrets between them, so it will be the only proof. "...That's a very brave of you, Hank. You used to be a hero, no.20! Now what have you become!?" The older man gasps as he couldn't believe in his own sanity anymore. Is that guy just said their secret out loud? Is that guy really his dead son? Is his son really coming home now? Or is this a dream? If it does, then it would be very disappointed. "..Akira? Is that really you?" "It's me, father. I'm home." It's a very emotional moment right now, Hank hugged his son and started sobbing a little bit. His son is home finally, this is not a dream. It's real! Red Volt is home! Cat watching as she tilting her head trying to remember what is it, the emotions that she was no longer needs, but the little cat personality feels happy for her mentor, she smiles softly and thought of her parents who she couldn't even remember their faces. How will is feel like if they saw her now? Probably the same to Hank. But they might just run away like other people. Red Volt cuts through her thoughts with a head pats as he was telling Cat to follow him, she walked behind him and stayed close to Volt while looking around. He said he needs to patch the bullet hole up, Cat raised her paw and willing to do it for him. As least helping Red Volt something is how the little cat repay him. But the man told his bulter to get the shower ready first, Hank did as told "Cat, you should take a shower first." He walked into the bathroom with Cat to show her a cool technologies that Red Volt thinks she might never seen before. It's the background of the bathroom. She got amazed by it, he switched the background into a dark sky full of stars, and Cat clapping her paws happily as it's been so long since last time she even saw the sky. Of course it's not a real star right now but Volt can see the happiness in Cat's eyes, he chuckling then left the bathroom so she could takes a shower. "...poor girl, it's must been rough for her." Dips into the tub as Cat looking at the sky still, she thought that Red Volt was so gentle and such a good person. It brought her a feeling like he was her family , a brother ? Yes, definitely. 'I was right to trust in him' , at first, Cat's defense was pretty high toward Volt because he is a guy. And for what happened to her in the past will scars the girl, and she will very cautioned to men. This is why it takes so long for a little cat to trust that man. She thinking about it and sewing her body back together without letting him knows, there wasn't blood when the needle going through her skin, she felt nothing. When her body was going back to normal, Cat gets out of the bathroom wearing her old dress and smiles, pawing at Red Volt's back, "I'm done~~~ It's your turn, Volt." "Alright, I will be right back." The man nodded then heading into the bathroom, Cat was there alone and she looking around again. This mansion by far the fanciest place she have ever seen, it have everything, as a curious cat, she started walking around to make sure she knows this place well. That's what cats do. But then Cat found a familiar scent from the other room. The owner's scent, but mixed with so many weird smells, can't keep her curiosity up, Cat following the scent into another room with a lot of machines. Chemical smells mixed in the air got her dizzy , and then, right front off her eyes in a tube. Was Red Volt's lifeless body. _ _______ @bitchy-ermac eyyo, here's chapter two for u ho! 1/Nightmare:

It’s so unusual for Cat to stay in her room at night without walking around the mansion or watching Red Volt in his sleep. She just stay on bed, sleeping. Exhausted from the training, little cat didn’t bothered to move an inches out of bed tonight. It’s been few months since the day Red Volt brought her back. He was nice, treated her like she was his little sister.

Maybe she was too young to understand the concept of ‘different kind of love’, but it’s another story in future. For now, she just enjoying to be with him as a partner.

“It’s time for me to go, Cat.”

Red Volt said looking over Cat. He looks different, she lookd different. Every single word he said now choked her out, but he has to. The hero has been cheating on his destination for too long, he can no longer living like this as a ghost. He shouldn’t be here in the first place. The man puts his hand on her head and smiles, he knows she will over thinking after this, but he had no choice.

“….Red Volt. ”

She says nothing more than just his name. Look like the little cat accepted it, she not stopped or begging him to stay like the first time they met. It just simply painful. It’s hurt. So hurt. But she must let him go, she cannot hold him back anymore. His job is done. So Cat takes off the charm on her tail and gives it to him, she have to fight over her emotion,

“…Just please don’t forget me.”

“How could I forget you?”, Volt holds the charm and placed a kiss on her forehead before his soul fading away. He can finally rest now, and be free from everything. He deserves it.

But Cat was there looking at him until there’s nothing left of the hero. Just a blank space, her and his gravestones. So she sat down, and covered her face yelling painfully.

It was jusr a dream, and she only realized it after she screamed then looking around. Scared, panicking, but Red Volt was ran over to check on her, “Cat are you alright?”, he gently turned on the light and looking at her. She was all fear, probably nightmare. The man just simply pats her head to comfort her without saying a thing. She didn’t say a thing too.

Catherine knows soon or late, it won’t be a night mare anymore.

2/Bruises:

Red Volt also can be strange when it comes to affection, but at least his affection is nice to watch. He is kneeling before Catherine in the bedroom now, examining her knees with horrified hands and devastated eyes. He’s kind of like an ant, Cat thinks, made of focus and rapid movements as he leans in to check that there are no wounds, holding on to the back of her left calf with both hands.

To steady her, he would probably say if Cat asked, but she’s sitting on the stool and isn’t about to fall off, and she manages not to move, too. There’s nothing to mess with Red Volt’s aim when it comes to touching her and his eyes are not going to miss any critical injury. There is no need to hold her as if she’ll fall apart otherwise.

Still, having someone to fuss over her like she’s the most precious thing in the world.. it’s kind of nice.

“I can’t believe you jumped off a building. That is madness, Cat.“

Red Volt frowns at the large purple bruise that crosses from calf to thigh along the joint on her left leg. Cat is pretty sure it didn’t come from the fall, unlike the solid bruising right on her knees. That means the purple bruise may officially be the first landing injury of Cat’s life. She’s almost disappointed that it’s going to heal away, not even leaving a mark.

“You didn’t pay attention,” Red Volt huffs, closing his eyes so he can shake his head in the most stunned manner possible. Cat just rolls her eyes. “People have died from falling off a building like that…”, he continues. “What were you thinking?”

“Well first of all, it wasn’t m-“

Her correction gets cut off by her own hiss, brought on by the man’s careless thumb that he had to go and shove right into deepest shade of purple in her thigh. Red Volt erupts into apologies without breaks, stroking both of her calves with warm, steady palms before his hands halt on her ankles, and he leans in to ghost his lips over the spot he just mistreated. He pulls away when Cat squirms.

“It wasn’t because I’m not paying attention…,”

She repeats, clearing her throat. Getting dramatic over everything is something that Red Volt and Catherine herself share in common, although their approaches were rather different; The hero always has to make a show of how much he cares about Cat, while Cat show how much she would do anything for him.

At some points, the little cat hates both equally.

“It wasn’t even because I’m not paying attention.”

The little cat says, and is pleased with how calm, collected she sounds. She smiles to relax herself more, reaching out to stroke Volt’s face with her paw, observing the faint stubble he has and what parts of his face it reaches. She works herself to perfect indifference.

"I just got surprised. It wasn’t a big fall.”

“I’d say your flesh disagrees.”

Red Volt sounds calm too; this means it’s either safe to look him in the eye, or that she’s in trouble. She looks at him, smiling wider to better face his frown.

“It wasn’t a big fall.”

Catherine smiles confidence and reassurance at him, but Red Volt doesn’t react. He turns his attention back to her knees, starts to clean the few scrapes she has. She keeps smiling at him, at his head, because this isn’t a big deal. Cat keeps smiling because Volt needs to understand that, too.

Back at underworld there were never any opportunities to do so, but the mansion was full of them, more so after Cat made the right friends with Volt’s friends. Red Volt had resisted the idea for a long time, protesting the dangers and how much it would cost, but he had relented after much bargaining from Catherine, and especially the promise that he could come along for the lessons and watch. She does want him near the life she has outside their house, but jumping off a building was different than falling off.

“Ow!”

Cat yanks her legs up and away from Red Volt, which turns out to be mistake as every new color on her knees comes to life on that moment, turning into pain. She starts screaming.

The man is fast as always, curling his arms around the little cat and pulling her close into a firm embrace, to make her feel safe. He lets Catherine to scream, trash, kick, lets her do everything but the one thing she wants; to make him hear, make him understand. Cat made a mistake. It was all her fault. She’ll agree to any punishment he has in mind, as long as he lets her keep this.

She falls slack in Volt’s arms, hurting too much to move anymore, too spent and numb to feel anymore. He holds her close, breathing her in and out for a while before he stands up, dragging her up with him. Cat doesn’t resist, accepts her own weight on her feet. Cat collapses against his chest.

“Stay home from now on unless I told yoy to follow me.” , Red Volt whispers, kissing her head softly . “It’s too dangerous. I can’t have you get hurt like this again. I can’t risk it, Cat.”

“I know,”

Catherine replies. But what’s the matter? She will continue to do that. After all, Red Volt is the only man she follow behind,she always follow behind him. It’s a mistake, but she doesn’t care.

Then why so bother?

Chapter 1 is based of your ending spoiled with Mikey. Soft grunge.

Chapter 2 is my fanfic for them writing in 'Lolita’ style. There’s nothing too much in it, just soft grunge and a lot of love seeking. From the beginning till the end is a mistake, Catherine loves him is a huge mistake, Red Volt I don’t know, but in my imagination, their relationship are more than just lover. It’s something more important and serious.

Desire is the word I used for these two.

Chapter 3: A hero, a cat and training.

Red Volt was patient waiting for Cat to sew the hole on his chest, she doing it slow. Each time the needle touched his skin, she started to question herself is it even him? 'Is that body in the lab was his? What is he?', Cat knows his scent, that must be him, but she shook her head and told herself that Red Volt just like her. They both have the new body reborn in underworld, the only difference between them is his body was there, while her body is vanished. Not letting the man to wait any longer, Cat cut off the string then looking at Red Volt, "It's done, Volt. Shall we begin the lesson now?" "Before we start..", he got up and brushed her hair, fixing it. What a clumsy girl, he thought. Red Volt might be a tough hero but he also kinda brotherly, he knows how to cook and do the house chores. When he done putting her long hair into a bun, Volt got up and smiles, "...now you are ready. Follow me, Cat." Little cat got up and walking behind him into the lab, but it was different area. It's a large room, not too hard for her to realize this is the room to simulate battle and for the training purpose. Red Volt typing something on his pad and the practical robots was ready, they have the strength of himself and the speed of Cat, this battle is mainly to test out her ability in closed combat. "No weapon. Now what will you do, Cat? They are powerful and as fast as you." "I must kill them. I will slice them in half.", she answered without thinking. So it was her instincts. Red Volt shook his head and pointed at the robots. "No, you have to beat them with your bare hands. A hero don't kill their enemies! " He low his voice down and explained to her why is it. Why she must use her hands to fight, Red Volt doesn't wants Cat to count on her claws too much. It's dangerous and not necessary sometimes, but looking at the little girl who face was like 'I don't understand anything', Volt shakes her shoulders, "Ey hey! Cat! Just do it! Try to fight without using your claws! Try it!" It's a command, so Cat nodded and gets ready. Her purple eye looking at the robots, she never saw one in real life before. Cat's listening to Red Volt's command as she lowed herself down like a cat waiting for its prey. Then she quickly jumped up and punched the robot hard in its body, but her paws wasn't strong enough so the girl got threw back by it. " You are too slow to even catch up to your own speed! " Cat landed on her feet as she charged at the robot again. And again, but the poor girl sure hell doesn't know what to do. Her body wasn't for the hand-to-hand combst like this, it's why her paws was there. But remembered what the hero told her 'not killing your enemies', the little cat have to try. After so many attempts, she seems giving up and might use her claws anytimes. Red Volt stopping the robot and her as he sighs, " Watch this." As Cat was standing on a side watching Volt performing the cat moves attack to shut down the robots, it was something else. His body was quick and his fit are powerful, she realized that physical strength was important. 'I guess I have to train myself more.', Cat told herself as the purple eye of her was remembering Volt's movement, she studied this way, it's her natural ability. He shuts the robot down faster than Cat could believe, then Red Volt challenges her. 'Attack me' , it's all she heard. He knows what he doing, Volt wanted to pretend this girl from usint the claws in the training, so he must ruin it for now. Just break it this time, while it heals, Cat probably learned how to gain a physical strength. As expected, Volt grabs her wrist and broke her claws on the right paw. But no expression on her face. Cat cannot feel it, her body was numb to the pain. She just looking up at him confusing, Red Volt shook his head then patching her broken wrist up with a bandage and rubbing the girl's head, "Lessons one is now done. We can take a break now. " There's a warm smile on his face which nobody has seen it before, but toward the little cat. Red Volt puts a hand on her head and rubbing it. Her reaction was surprised him some, Cat enjoyed it and purred like cats. He kept going and somewhat felt like this was weird, but very amusing to do. Of course, cats purr relaxing people. That was cute. And that night, Red Volt have to go on and write down a training process that fit the little cat, she can't be training the way he was. _ ___________ "Today lesson will be hits and run." Right front of them was a very professional criminal who Red Volt just borrowing from the cells, for training purpose. This guy is huge and he has a long history in stealth and stealing things that highly guards. Volt wants to see how her other abilities works, so this one should be finish quick. He brought the criminal and Cat to the maze simulation room, then lets the guy go first. The criminal quickly ran as far as he could into the maze and hid in the dark without knowing who was chasing him. There's nothing but silent, Cat walked into the maze slowly as her ears twitching listening around. A heartbeats, a breathing noises, but most important thing is the scent. In nature, cats also using smell and scent to mark or tracking their prey. There's one of the abilities the little girl have. Cat quickly ran to the criminal's place as she looking around to find him, he was right behind her but his stealth was tok good to be find right away. He looking at her and smirks, 'Just a little girl? This should be easy'. Said and he quickly grabs her and breaks the girl's neck. So easy isn't it? But not with a revenant. Cat threw herself up in the air and kicked him hard in his chin, she landed on top of the criminal and tries to hold him down on the floor. But her body was too light while his was heavy, so the criminal grabbed her by the leg and tries to crush her. "STOP RIGHT THERE!!" The little cat held his face and looking deep into his eyes. The criminal was dizzying as he doing exactly what she told him to, it's the slavery ability she got. But Cat rarely used it, she have no need in slavery people but in some emergency situations like this. When her instincts raised to kill the prey, Red Volt showed up and stopped her. " You are doing good! Now you can stop, Cat.", he smiles again and caught the criminal back before returning him to the jail. Now Volt knows which fighting style will fit the little cat, he will help her to train these abilities more in the future. Cat twitched her head back to its position then happily walked behind him, doesn't care about her body, she doesn't care. Volt noticed that as he tried to find a solution for that, it's not good for Cat to do this. It might brings her to dangerous situation if she didn't cares about her body. So he will help her to find these feelings again, Red Volt will try his best. But it wasn't easy, because her nerves are malfunctioning for a long timr, her body resisting all kinds of pain . She couldn't remember about it too, so Volt emded up making a machine to create a pain feelings for her, it will simulate all kind of pains that last on her body. "Hey Cat, do you want to try out the feelings again?", Red Volt asked. The machine was done, so it's time to try it. The little girl was curious and she looking up at him, nodding her head without considering. Cat was curious to know how it would works now, so she reminds Volt that her body parts are numb now. But he pats her head again and explained how the machine will works, and why he must doing it. It's not because he wants to see her in pain, it's because he wants her to feel like a human. Chapter 1: Hero and the cat

He was new to this place, it's not the human realm. There's monsters, there's some people there too but obviously this not an ideal place to live. His name was Akita, a human. But not just that simple, he's a hero. Under the codenamed Red Volt, he's a hero. In the world where there's too many heroes already, all the heroes who doing this for money and fames, Red Volt was the hero that people needs. He was modest, but with a flame burning in his heart, he is the strongest hero compared to the other. "...she escaped again. That undead girl." A beautiful woman with a lot of voodoo marks on her body sighs talking to Red Volt, she was his very first ally here, the most human looking person living in this place. Her name was Lacrima, an underworld witch. There's nothing about magic that she didn't know, all the serect of hero's abilities was in her hand, but of course, Lacrima never caller herself necromancer . Her first atterm was run away. So of course, she asked Red Volt for help. "Sounds like a job to me." The man answered as he ran toward looking for that girl. As Lacrima's description, the revenant who broke out of her magic was a young human-looking girl with bloody clothes. And he noted that never looking into her eyes, it's so easy. In the place where people not that much but monster, finding a little girl was simple. Volt quickly found a small figure on the roof as he jumped up to encourage her. With all the skill and strength he got, it's not so hard for Volt to keep the girl down on the ground, holding her there. "You should go back to where you belong." "NO! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!" The way smaller girl escaped like a cat as she doing a back flip and landed down on her feet lightly. Her name is Cat, or that's what she called herself, a humanoid looking revenant with sewing body parts, she has a cat features and glowing heterochromia eyes. She seems surprisingly young for a place like this, but this not bother Volt, he just have to bring her back to Lacrima and done. But the man have no idea what he just got into. As long as he chased after Cat, the more story of her he understand. Red Volt confirms that this girl wasn't bad, or even a villain, she could be a hero too! So he decided to talk to Cat, to lead her to the right way. But her attidude toward hero was negative. How many time he talked to her about it, she seems to avoiding it all. But Red Volt not giving up that easily, he believes that people can change. "This is where I belongs, 'hero' man. I'm a monster. I belongs to the realm of monsters. It seems like a nice place to me." "Seems like a nice place." Volt running around to look at it, no, how could this place is nice to stay? But whatever, as long as he could help that poor little girl, he will try. The justice flame in his heart never gone. But that little tricky cat was vanished into the crowd quick enough so Volt cannot tracking behind her back. " So do not try to help that witch again!" When you thought that's all, then you are wrong. They met each other constantly as this just accidentally help Red Volt to gain Cat's trust easier, after all, she was a lost girl in this dangerou place. While he is a hero, a hero who will ignoring all the damaged on his body just to rescue a person. So even with her negatively reaction toward hero, Cat still easily trust in Red Volt. _ _________ RedVolt had a rough childhood. He was born in a super villain family.
