I hope you’ll consider letting him come back out for this upcoming spooky month; allowing us to see what may have transpired in the imperium since our last visit.
I've said it before, my Freelancer has a speech disability. And in Imperium, they almost entirely gave up on being vocal at all.
HOWEVER, after they run away with Vindemiator to live out life together, they ask for his help to try to help them speak.
And they want to say "I never gave in to the shit the world pit against me thanks to you." But all they can get out is "Gave in." But they both are happy over that.
And then, Vindemiator talks about wanting to figure out himself, and give himself a new name. And in honor of the first words they spoke, he decides to go by Gavin.
imperium freelancer and vin kill me. the fact they're together in every universe yeah but also how tragic their stories are; freelancer being exiled from their family after their powers manifested and then constantly having to watch their back and run from people that want to exploit them; vindemiator getting his body used without his consent and being forced to slice humanborns so he's not sent out to literally starve. and then they find each other and shit still completely hits the fan but they're together and that's all that matters and freelancer learns what it's like to be cared for and vindemiator's reminded what real love is supposed to feel like and they run away together to have a quiet life in a cottage and it’s not perfect or easy and it never will be but they’re okay because they live for one another and and and
imp!dear "the siren of d.a.m.n"
they received this title because they're well known for being bloodthirsty and cruel to literally everyone but also being so beautiful and alluring. everyone thinks they're hot. everyone.
they walk around d.a.m.n like they own it despite not even being the president/only being a teacher.
everyone lets them because they're so attractive. not even just because of their looks but because of their presence and way they speak. they're super powerful as well.
whenever they want something from anyone (money, unauthorized access, drugs), they just have to tilt their head and smile the right way and it's theirs.
and if it's not, well they'll just have to be a little more.. persuasive
imp!dear also uses their looks to lure people they don't like to their demise. there have been more than a few sleazy men and women who were bold enough to think they had a chance with them.
they haven't actually killed anyone (or have they?) but they've been known to beat people up and occasionally, when they're really mad, use their water powers to bend people using the water/blood in their body (think bloodbending from avatar the last airbender).
imp!dear's biggest pet peeve is being ordered around. so any security, staff, or students that think they can tell them what to do, will find themselves being twisted into a pretzel without even being touched.
they have beaten imp!huxley into submission, he is terrified of them. whenever imp!dear even looks at him, he's shaking and standing up a little straighter. he also thinks they're hella attractive.
he was picking on imp!freelancer again but as soon as imp!dear walked through the door and raised their eyebrow at him, he immediately shut up and went about his day albeit shaken up.
imp!dear can be kind when they want to be. they're chill with the students that are chill with them, they train imp!freelancer to use their water powers, and they don't discriminate against any magic user (they like imp!gavin). they're just rude about it.
imp!dear x imp!lasko
imp!lasko is terrified of them but is veryyy attracted to them. the power they exude from their aura and how they speak just draws him to them.
the relationship imp!dear and imp!lasko have is official, they're definitely committed to each other, however, neither of them love each other as much as they say. imp!lasko is on a power trip from being with d.a.m.n's siren and fulfilling certain fantasies he's had of them. imp!dear gets a kick out of being with the academy's president.
imp!dear ignores imp!lasko's existence half the time as long as they don't need something from him. it keeps imp!lasko on his toes.
even though they're not as in love as they say, imp!lasko gets jealous whenever imp!dear flirts with an enforcer or other staff to get what they want, and imp!dear tells him off for how often he wants to be alone with imp!freelancer (imp!lasko definetly wants to get into imp!freelancer's pants idc).
imp!lasko makes a shitton of money from being academy president and half of it goes to imp!dear without them asking for it (boy is obsessedddd)
imp!dear has an anger problem and oftentimes takes it out on imp!lasko. they yank on his hair, grip his chin tightly, and order him around for the thrill of it.

imp!dear is lowkey a drug addict (is always always seen smoking/high)
when imp!dear met imp!freelancer and imp!gavin, they were so intrigued by their relationship (they thought a human born freelancer dating an incubus was fascinating)
imp!dear saw imp!lasko paralyzed by imp!vega and they laughed, called him pathetic, and took the money from the safe in his office
they learned to use their water powers on people's bodies from their grandfather (who was executed by the imperium for killing people with it)
imp!dear has a permanent blood stain on their favourite pair of shoes from someone they beat to a pulp (almost killed the person out of anger)
imp!dear couldn't have given less of a shit when the d(a)emons wanted to take over the academy because of their own hatred towards the imperium
they hate the imperium because of all the restrictions they had placed on everything. was happy to watch it's downfall
they also wouldn't have cared if the meridian collapsed as long as they could smoke while it happened
has a particular dislike for the king imperial ("i guess you could say fire and water don't mix")
I'm sick yet again so here's my imperium comfort au (ignore anything that doesn't make sense, this purely exists for me to play around with when I feel shitty) (also ignore if anything explained badly, once again I am sick)

-shades are made using souls that were desperate to return to Elegy for one reason or another.
-shades regain their humanity more and more as they feed, eventually gaining back their individuality and memories. (Significantly more common now that no one is keeping shades in check)
-Lovely goes looking for a new vampire because of how deeply they were conditioned by Vincent and ended up with Sam who is incredibly concerned by them.
-also, may have mentioned this before, all the vampires regaining their empathy and guilt a bit after Brachiums death (helps avoid the vampire take over because now they feel too bad and also, a lot of them opt to just step into the sun)
-also also, Lovely keeping Vincent's skull (pretty sure that one originally came from @elvishdemigod but I can't find the og post)
-lovely getting their powers because someone tries to take the skull from them and they get so distressed their powers awaken and they kill them. (Maybe on accident, maybe not. Depends how I'm feeling)
-Angel and Babe were in love but didn't do anything for fear of Damien finding out and hurting them, that is up until the day before Angel was put on house arrest. They knew they were going to die and wanted to do it without regrets. Babe didn't know they were going to die.
-Asher and Babe slowly falling for each other as they heal from the deaths of their partners.
-(another headcannon I saw but lost the post for (seriously, this is a problem and I'm suffering)) Caelum struggling to feed on Elegy, looking for one place where people are happy and stumbling upon a cottage with an incubus and a freelancer who are deeply in love, spending whatever time they have side by side and getting taken in by them.
-Vega starts hunting Vampires who try to rule over and hurt people. Mostly to avoid any of them hurting Pet.
Why did I mention shades so much at the beginning? Can we think of any dead characters who would do anything to get back?
-Angel comes back first now with powers and strength that they are still adjusting to. They try to find Damien to make sure he can't hurt people anymore but calm down when they see he's under Sam's control.
-they use their abilities to mess with him, whispering things so he hears their voice, letting him catch glimpses of them, bringing things that will remind him of them and driving him into a paranoid spiral. (I just want Angel to psychologically abuse Damien a bit)
-most of their time though, is spent with Babe, the person they loved but couldn't have before. They have no problems with Asher and Babes budding relationship and openly endorse it, happy that others can see how amazing the person they love is. They protect the pack because it means a lot to Babe
-David comes back and immediately hunts down the pack, only to be met with another "shade" questioning why he's trying to see his own pack.
-they almost start fighting before Babe and Asher show up, quickly explaining that the human and shade have kind of just been adopted into the pack.
-next, David asks about Darling, who should also still be with the pack, only to find out that they ran off and haven't been seen in almost a month. So he goes to hunt them down before they do end up a pile of ash (sometimes they find them, sometimes they don't. Depends what flavour of angst I want.)
