What if Doctor Death Defying saw Val Velocity and for a moment thought it was Party? Same mask, same hair…the different jacket was excusable after twelve years. He thought it was Party, the gutsy kid he taught the ways of the desert, sent on missions, laughed with, took music requests from…

It was Party, who never came close to that BL/ind lab’s door. He wouldn’t have seen what happened inside. He saw Jet for sure, maybe Ghoul if the lights hit the door correctly. But not Party. They could have gotten away through another door or caught for a failed reeducation. And now, here was Party, and maybe Kobra was somewhere behind them. Those two were always joined at the hip. And Witch, was Cherri going to be stoked.

But as the figure approaches, their features come into view. There’s a jawline that wouldn’t come from twelve years of time naturally. There’s a posture that’s almost insecure. Party was never insecure. Not out in the open.

No…it wasn’t Party.

But it wouldn’t be long until he saw them.
