it's fine, red. i've been out of commission for long enough, you know? i need to get back into the swing of things. thanks for worrying, but it's alright. i'll take things a bit slow to start easing back into it.

I mean, we are his fireflies. His Chat is formed by fireflies. I think it's sweet he thinks so much of us that he's willing to suggest banning it because one of us got hurt because of it. It's still a silly idea, as you said, but his heart is in the right place I think.

it is sweet, he's a good kid. that's part of why i'm trying to make it a teachable moment, you know?

i was going to get back to work soon anyway, this just sped things up a bit. and it's not like he hasn't tried to convince me to pass whatever laws he wanted while he was vice president, he'll hardly stop now.

Dude chill it was because one of his fireflies had something happen to them in PE. He wanted to ban PE until we reminded him you guys don't have a school.

fireflies do p.e...? nevermind, that's not the important part.

i know he only suggested it because he didn't think it through, but that doesn't change the fact that i can't let him actually do it. even if it wasn't actively harmful, it would still be completely unreasonable.

there's a reason i didn't say it like that to his face, though. i only pointed out one flaw in the plan, instead of shutting it all down. yes, it's not going to happen, but hopefully this way he'll start learning to think things through instead of getting discouraged.

On pushing them on Tommy... You know it doesn't hurt if you two do them together right? Hell, he's the VP, he should have some things to do. You two would spend more time together, too.

And for bracing yourself... I feel you, I dunno if it's the things we saw in the future or other things, but even then, trust me, you don't want to overwork yourself.

well, sure. he's helping out while i'm injured, but once i heal the job of being president is still going to be my responsibility. i could maybe look into giving him one or two more duties, but the vast majority of my work would still fall on me.

i'm not overworking myself, don't worry. my friends have been- quite clear about that. i haven't spent this much time resting in.... huh. i can't remember when.

i know that! don't worry, that's not what i meant. probably, anyway.

it's just.. a couple things, i guess. for one, as soon as i'm physically capable of course i'm going to fully take over the presidential duties again. i can't keep pushing them onto tommy forever, they're my responsibility.

and i have a bad feeling. i'm not sure what about specifically, but it's just telling me that this peace isn't going to last. having a chance to catch my breath is nice, but it's also suspicious. there's always something else coming, so i guess i'm- bracing myself.
