Hosting a tattoo redesign contest over on my dA. Pretty much redrawing two of my designs in your own style of some Tim Burton characters. It’s open to anyone who wants a chance to win $25. So it’s a majority! Sorry if you like the previous design but I don’t feel right about it ;;

So! 

Theme: 

Modern jacket hoodies and Traditional Japanese Kimono (either female or male)

Redesign contest!! [ENDING: 25 MAY]

I never felt proud of Friedrich's clothes mostly, everything seemed ok-ish to me, but his clothes look almost out of place- and even after so many concepts and rearangments its still not enough-

So i need your help-

Prices:

1st place - A custom OC or a fully shaded and coloured drawing

2nd place - A fully shaded and coloured icon

3rd place - A coloured sketch drawing

Rules:

- If you want to participate comment on this post "Purple goblins"

- I will not look at the design of Friedrich himself, mostly the clothes. But he can be redesigned too and if I like it I might take it

- (not really a rule but a recomendation) I am not looking for something too fantasy looking, just modern clothes that can make him fit into society

- The date is not set yet, so for now it's open and if people join i might set the date

so i realized i really like redesigning things so i decided to hold a little contest!! I’m only taking 10 people and it’s all random so send in some ocs and hope for the best!”

this is my redesign of the Ralts line for @frogcroaks redesign contest, in order from left to right, Galvalier, Kirlire, Ralts, Kirlia, Gardivoir. bottom row is the shinnies.

more info on them all below

Ralts (r-all-ts): often gets confused as a young child, they are known to go into large urban areas to be around people and other Pokémon. they love making people happy, because it makes them happy.

Kirlia (curl-ia): their movements are similar to that of a dancer. its been shown that their dance and battle style is influenced by the music their trainer listens to. evolves from Ralts using a dusk stone

Kirlire (curl-liar): they can be found fencing among themselves, using sticks or props. they will sometimes involve themselves in other Pokémon’s battles to help them, though its not always the best idea. evolves from Ralts using a dawn stone.

Gardivoir (Guard-eh-vwar): They would protect their trainer no matter what. in dire situations, they will pull all the energy from around them to create a shield around them and their trainer. when they look into someone’s eyes, they see the contents of their soul. evolves from kirlia at level 35 with high friendship

Galvalier (gal-vah-leer): they will fight to the end for their trainer. they often put themselves in danger against stronger Pokémon to protect their trainer, putting energy around them to make a sword to fight with. when they look into someone’s eyes, they can see the contents of their soul. evolves from kirlire at level 35 with high friendship.

the main two inspirations i pulled for these guys were ballet and the progression of a page > squire > knight. their “clothes” are based on a dancers leotard, and their poses were pulled from references of dancers. i had a lot of fun with this, and i’ll probably post more of these designs in the future.
