Muhammara is a flavorful Syrian dip made with roasted red peppers, walnuts, and a blend of spices. It's vegan-friendly and bursting with smoky, tangy, and nutty flavors.
Ingredients: 3 large red bell peppers, roasted and peeled. 1 cup walnuts, toasted. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs gluten-free if needed. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1 teaspoon smoked paprika. 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt to taste.
Instructions: Put the breadcrumbs, garlic, lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt in a food processor. Blend the ingredients until the mixture is smooth. To make it taste better, you can add more salt or lemon juice if you like. Add a little olive oil to a serving bowl and top with the dip. If you want, you can add more toasted walnuts or chopped parsley as a garnish. You can dip pita bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks in it.
