West Side West Side nananana West Side.

Can you hear Jay-Z sing?

I just finished watching “Putzel”, this indie flick on Reel 13, a program on PBS. Thank the telly at the hotel-y.

It’s all about this young Jewish kid nicknamed Putzel - “like a small putz” - who just cannot leave the Upper West Side. So he’s stuck selling lox at his family’s business.

Then he meets cute, who unfortunately lives with a pigeon, and you see them walking around, day and night, along the park, on the sidewalk, in a fancy restaurant, down an alley or a park but never, God forbid, anywhere south of 59th street.

How coincidental, I’m on 57th, just south of Columbus Circle.

The cool thing about watching television when you should be out exploring the sights, is that you get to watch New York onscreen while you are also in New York.

Strange doubling happens, like oh there’s Richard Gere dipping into Julia Roberts widening mouth with the Manhattan skyline twinkling in the background,

there’s Adrian Brody rushing out of a hotel lobby to chase a taxi to get a girl to the airport in time to see

Derek Luke.

And then there’s Putzel, making the big leap south of Columbus Circle.

If anything ever convinced you to actually fall for the nice guy for once, this indie surely does.

Visualisasi Reel 13 menggambarkan angka 13 dibalut dengan Gear modern yang Saya artikan bagaimana Takhyul yang terus diwarisi turun temurun, tidak peduli seberapa modern teknologi melampaui kita, kepercayaan seperti ini akan terus melekat di sekitar kita."
