Reentry is hard you all! We got back from Florida on Wednesday and parenting and working has been exhausting. My kids are off their schedule and routine! The last two days have been torture. My little ones slept until 9 am today, which is unheard of. My 9 year old did her ballet 🩰 evaluation online with her hair in two messy braids that were still full of chlorine. It's Friday afternoon and instead of doing fun family night, we're doing hair, laundry, cleaning and still finishing up work and school work. 🤦🏾‍♀️ checking out from work for 4 days leads to so many unread emails. Hubby gets to work out of the house, while I've dealt with moody kids. I'm salty about it. I may have texted him today explaining that he needed to intervene ASAP with the teen boy. Why am I sharing this? Parenting kids in so many stages of life is exhausting. My newly teen son needs as much supervision (just different type) as my 8 year old. Parenting teens and younger kids requires being engaged and involved at all times and being hands on. The beautiful memories carry us through. I'm taking sips of my coffee and taking deep breaths. #reentryishard and even tougher with kids. We were asleep by 7 pm last night and I was up before 6 am. The good news is that I've already gotten a lot done, the bad news is that I'm quarantined at home with kids who have a lot of energy, we don't have groceries and hubby's working. Hubby is testing today and goes right back to work because he's been fully vaccinated since December and CT policy no longer requires a quarantine period for domestic travel. He also saw outpatients via Telehealth yesterday as soon as we landed. Seriously Vancouver? After a four hour flight from Los Cabos it took almost five hours to get to our hotel last night. What a welcome home. Waaaaa. Yea I know y’all have been putting up with this the entire time I was lounging by the pool, but my resistance is down. Take pity on me.
