Reposted from @reform (@get_regrann) - On Friday, our friend LaTonya “T” Myers (@aboveallodds__) stood in front of her judge and fought for the freedom she’s gone above and beyond to prove she deserves. LaTonya kept her composure under fire from the judge, and thankfully she was granted early termination of her probation. SHE’S FREE! When we asked LaTonya what message she wanted to spread, she said: “Don’t lay down and take the injustice. Fight for freedom. You can give the time back. Fight for your right to be free!! #REFORM, we fight different. We win.” But “one down, too many to go.” A number of the other cases we watched that day with the same judge resulted in people going back to prison - not for committing crimes, but for “technical violations” like missing meetings and testing positive for marijuana, which is legal for medicinal use in Pennsylvania.
