I DON'T KNOW. It's definitely nothing to do with my writing or characterisation because while I was still publishing candle, I put up a poll asking who I should write next with Wonwoo, mingyu, Hoshi and shua as options. Joshua won that poll by a landslide.

That's a good question! Honestly if she hadn't been such a bitch I would have felt bad for the old Mrs. Yoon because the situation of widows in those times probably wasn't great- you're always dependent on someone to sustain you.
Jeonghan was trying to set something up for her so I think he, Seungcheol and Mingyu (woman's got some rich son-in-laws lol) probably pooled a fair amount of money together in trust and got the old lady a decent place to stay in London with adequate servants and all to take care of her.
I imagine she doesn't visit Jeonghan or his wife at all and that's how everyone involved prefers it.
She probably visits Mingyu and her younger daughter once a year or so (since the younger daughter basically rebelled and is pretty cold to her).
I guess she probably visits Seungcheol and her oldest daughter the most? Even though she's quite cold to Seungcheol, but Mr. and Mrs. Choi are just way more mellow and tolerant of her than the others. If you want a happy ending I'd say she probably warms up to Seungcheol in a couple of years.

Lmaooooo I never really thought too much about it? While Minghao and Jun moved mainly in the fringes of the series, I imagined them both as being sort of the 'new money' type- not traditional landed gentry with generational wealth, but just clever men who had made fortunes through foreign trade.
Having said that, I think Ella was easily excited and their relationship was never that deep. It was probably just a casual courtship that didn't survive the distance since Mr. Xu spent large parts of the year in the colonies/away from England.
So yeah personally I didn't really see them as endgame lol it was more of a filler 😅 If someone wants to request for The8 (haven't got any yet), I'd probably create a new reader.
