This is an audio recording of my fellow student’s meeting with the Housing Director and the current chair of my universities film department. After confronting her professor about his bias against women in her senior thesis class (something other female students had done in the past as he continually denied any topic involving women, forced her actors to quit her project, and gave an unfair amount of assistance to male students) her professor called her a “liar”, kicked her out of his office, and dared her to “make a formal complaint” through Title IX. So she did. And this was the school’s response. She has since been expelled and is no longer allowed on our campus as the school feels that her presence will make the professor “uncomfortable”. Our school is pretty notorious for silencing/and or removing students who have gone through Title IX, specifically sexual assault survivors. But honestly, this shit is why I’m a feminist.
