The Falk estate was nothing short of a nightmare.
Blake had known of the many rumors surrounding Garnet Falk. The weapons mogul kept only faunus employees at her Atlesian estate, but her comments and opinions on them seemed to be not so favorable. A financial report recently "acquired" by the White Fang stated that their wages weren't liveable at all--and she demanded back all of it in ridiculous, nitpicky fees. It was a legal loophole that allowed her to basically keep the employees without wages--and yet, when anyone managed to interview any of them, they would only sing her praises. None of them seemed miserable.
It was entirely too suspicious. That was why the White Fang wanted eyes on the inside. Observations from the outside showed faunus that were otherwise visually attractive working outside--and of all of their stealthiest, Blake was best suited. So she was chosen to apply for an open position in the Falk estate, and given the tiniest recording device she'd ever seen--a new, experimental technology taken from a recent raid on an SDC facility. It wouldn't transmit until it was hooked into a computer, she was told, but it would record everything she saw.
And what she saw, once she was successfully hired, put her completely on edge.
Everyone wore a collar--even she did. Some of those collars had bells. No one looked her in the eyes. Most had a tattoo displaying the Falk crest, including a mouse faunus girl about Blake's age who was almost always found by Garnet's side--even kneeling beside her chair.
They acted like true slaves, and that horrified Blake. What made it worse was some of the things she'd overheard while performing her cleaning duties, from behind closed doors. Deals that Blake could have sworn were over some of Garnet's employees. Cries that were most certainly sexual in nature coming from behind the doors of Garnet's office. And once... she thought she heard a cry of pain somewhere in the estate.
It was everything the White Fang wanted to learn, and more. After a few weeks of recording what she could, Blake knew she had what she needed. She would send the footage and get out as quickly as possible, and there was only one place from which she could do so.
It was well after three in the morning when Blake crept out of the slave dormitories. She was as silent as her shadows as the made her way through the halls, up to the third floor where Garnet kept her office. She'd memorized the camera placements, and when she reached them, she blinked forward with her clone, hopefully out of their sights.
Blake had keys to most rooms in the estate thanks to her position as one of the cleaners, so entering it was no trouble; she even closed the door silently behind her. Garnet was long gone, her office chair cooled by the time she reached it. She knew she had to act fast; gods only knew what protections the insidious woman had. Within minutes, the computer was booted up, the recording device plugged in, and she was putting in Adam's scroll address. All the while, she breathed shallowly, her ears swiveling to catch all sounds, prepared for danger.
