Registration...

Hey Vandals! I hope everyone's week is treating them well and that everyone is getting the classes they need for next fall...I know how stressful registration week can be! A little tip for this, you have the whole summer for people to drop out of classes and change their minds. So for those of you freshman and sophomores that may be wait listed for a particular class, sign up anyway! The chances of you getting into a wait listed class are actually really high!!!

If for some off chance reason you are still wait listed for a particular class, come August, do not be afraid to email your advisor/ professor of the class! Sometimes there are empty seats in the class and the professor can simply add you in. Usually, though, the professor will encourage you to show up to the first few days because some students will not be taking the class and have forgotton to drop from it...meaning there are open seats!!!

Showing interest and initiative to professors is sometimes all it takes for them to "find" a spot for you! Good Luck!

Busy Week Ahead

Only 25 more days until Summer. I can not wait. This week, on Tuesday I register for classes for next fall, on Thursday we pick our apartment for next year, and Friday I have a chem exam I am really not ready for.

Next year, I am planning on taking Organic Chemistry, Genetics, Physics, Quantitative Analysis, and Marching Band. The problem is, I'm one of the last people to register. >.< In my quantitative analysis class I need to take, there are only 10 seats left in the lab section, but 33 seats left in the lecture. (How does that work?) Both times for the lab that aren't full conflict with other classes. One conflicts with my physics lecture, so I can't take that one, and the other conflicts with marching band. And not just by like half an hour or so, but by an hour and a half. By the time I get done with class, marching band will basically be over. >.< Great... The problem is, I need to take this class next semester. I tried talking to my adviser about it, and he told me to drop marching band then, which will not be happening. I need to at least have 1 fun class in there with all the ridiculous science classes I have to take. 

So, I've e-mailed the professor to see if there would be any more lab sections opening up, because seriously... why aren't there as many seats in the labs as there are for the lecture? As far as I know, the lab and lecture have to be taken together. I just can't wait for tomorrow at 3, when I can register and don't have to worry about it anymore.
