Lyrid Meteor - Thank you all so much for the kind words and feedback on the bioluminescence image! I had no idea it would strike such a chord. We live on an amazing planet that we need to take care of, not for the sake of the planet, which would be just fine without us, thank you very much, but for our own sakes! For goodness sakes. This was a little earlier on the same night. I caught my first meteor on camera! I didn’t notice until after that it was there, since I was so focused on getting an image. My favorite spot in Reid State Park is Todd's Point, which is about a mile walk from the gate, which is closed to vehicles at that time of morning. Thursday morning, I walked in while it was still dark and explored the rocks. I usually like to watch the waves and see where they are most active, but on this morning, the Atlantic Ocean was perfectly calm, just lapping at the rocks. The sky began to glow pink as the sun broke the horizon and I found this little pool where waves gently rolled in and then receded again. I loved the reflection of color in the water and the soft light on the rocks. It wasn't what I expected but it was just beautiful. *** I extended my sale!! Last week, I decided to head to Reid State Park on Georgetown Island. I love the rocks on the beach there, as they always seem to provide some interesting opportunities there. A cloud bank moved in that muted the sunrise somewhat, but there were still little splashes of color here and there. The tide was on its way out, so the water was calm overall, just enough to provide some nice wet sand and little swirls around the rocks.
