Hmm.
Only 12 hours? That's not so bad, well not great either but he could probably manage it.
Technically the half mile would be the faster thing to do and get over with if the more potentially unpleasant of the two choices in his opinion,
"Depends on the whether, not much for the cold so 12 hours inside is preferable over anytime out freezing in the cold, but if the weather itself wasn't too bad and there just happened to still be a lot of snow on the ground,
It may not be the most pleasant way to spend my time but I could probably manage if I had to."
