Hey friends! I wanted to let you know that I’ll be taking a social media fast for the month of January. While social media is be fun and helpful, it’s been on my heart to step away for a bit and focus on other things. I’ve been thinking a lot about how social media affects our brains and attention spans. Constant scrolling overstimulates the mind, making it harder to focus and be present, and all those quick dopamine hits from likes and notifications can seriously damage our ability to concentrate. Plus, it’s so easy to fall into the comparison trap, and I want to take a break from that and focus on gratitude for the life God has given me. 🙏
During this fast, I’ve scheduled posts to share some encouragement and inspiration each day in January, but I won’t be active or responding to DMs. I’m excited to use this time to clear my mind, refocus, and be more present with my loved ones. I’m also hoping this will help me grow spiritually by spending more time in prayer and reading my Bible.
If you’ve ever thought about taking a break from social media, I’d encourage you to try it—even for a short time! It’s amazing how much clarity and peace you can find when you step away. I’ll be back in February, but until then, I hope you all have a wonderful start to the new year! Thanks for understanding!
