Being A Shy Hufflepuff And Getting Together With Remus Lupin Would Include:

You and Remus had remained pretty good friends for the remainder of the year

But then the holidays began and as you started your seventh year, you were a bit scared that he would forget about you

You weren’t partners in Potions anymore, so he didn’t need to talk to you

However, you had nothing to worry about

As you were walking up and down The Hogwarts Express, you saw Remus and he beamed when he saw you

He exclaimed your name and gave you a bright smile

You smiled back and before you knew what was happening, you were embraced in his arms

You stood there in the middle of aisle, talking about your holidays and catching up

But unfortunately, your conversation had to come to an end

Remus asked if you wanted to come into his compartment

But your friends were waiting for you

And plus, Remus’ friends were very loud and the exact opposite of you

You were sad walking over to your compartment, thinking that this would be your last conversation with Remus

However, you were wrong again

He would smile at you when you were walking to class

But you didn’t realise he was smiling at you until he walked away so you would just be staring at him in a daze while he smiled sweetly at you

You wouldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks

Then one day there was a lesson you had with him and his friends were sick and he decided to sit next to you

You sat up a little straighter, wiped your hands on your skirt and pushed some hair behind your ears

Remus smiled at you and you smiled back squeaking out a ‘hi’

Remus laughed softly as you blushed

He joked about missing you in Potions and you smiled at him wishing he knew how much you missed him as well

You guys talked for most of the lesson, listening when necessary

Remus did most of the talking, but he was used to it by now

You were happy to listen, not really knowing what to say

You were writing notes down when Remus leant back

You tried not to look over, knowing he probably looked really good

He whispered your name and you looked up, still trying to write

You gave him a confused look as he smiled softly

You smiled back and continued writing notes, thinking he was finished

But he wasn’t

And he sighed before whispering

“Do you maybe want to go to Hogsmeade with me?”

He had asked it slowly and you had made a fool of yourself by answering too fast

You had said ‘yes’ before he had finished saying his last word and your eyes widened and you went back to writing

Remus giggled at you and knowing you wouldn’t say anything else found your hand under the table and held onto it

You were a mess for the rest of that lesson

Your cheeks were bright red and Remus was trying to talk to you, but you just couldn’t respond

You were sure he wouldn’t want to go on another date with you

But he did

He found you and you talked and organised the day

It sounded fun, but you were quite nervous spending this much amount of time with someone you still weren’t that close with

You were excited about the night and you weren’t staring in a daze anymore when Remus smiled at you

This was because you were always smiling now

The night before, you were up all night deciding what to wear

Once you did, you still couldn’t fall asleep

You were too excited

In the morning you put on the clothes you had prepared, but you weren’t sure if they were the right choice

So you spent the next few hours trying on different outfits

Making yourself late

Even though you chose the clothes you originally started with

You ran to your meeting place and found Remus leaning up against the wall

You smiled at him as he stood up and went to take your hand

You looked at his outstretched hand before reaching yours out as well

You hoped he didn’t think you were being rude

You just wanted to make sure he really did want to hold your hand

Your date went amazingly

You went into Honeydukes and Remus spoiled you, buying you all the sweets you wanted

You didn’t say much, but the smile on your face let Remus know you were having the time of your life

You shared your sweets with him as you walked to Zonkos

You didn’t buy much here, but Remus did

As he was walking to the counter you thought about offering to pay

So you walked up to him and touched him on the shoulder

He turned around and smiled when he saw it was you

You handed him the money and he frowned pushing it away

“But you bought my lollies!” You exclaimed and Remus smiled at your smile

You ended up winning him over and he let you buy one thing for him

Remus asked whether you wanted to go to The Three Broomsticks or Madame Puddifoot's

“Wherever you want to go.” You shrugged as Remus found your hand and held onto it again

“No, where do you want to go?” Remus asked as you continued walking

You wanted to go to Madame Puddifoot’s, but you knew Remus would want to go to The Three Broomsticks

“Three Broomsticks.” You replied smiling at him

You decided to make him take you to Madame Pudifoot’s when you had gone on a few more dates

You froze as you thought of a future with Remus

You hoped he wanted to go on another date

You found a table at The Three Broomsticks and Remus got you both a Butterbeer

You thanked him as you took a sip

Remus tried to get you to talk

And you did

In small sentences and lots of smiles

“You don’t talk much,” Remus noted and you frowned, blushing

“It’s not a bad thing.” He reassured making you look up and smile at him

He smiled back and once again, held your hand

A wave of warmth flooded your body as you made contact and you didn’t want him to ever stop touching you

You guys continued talking for the rest of the afternoon

You started talking a bit more and you were hoping Remus noticed

You were enjoying your time with Remus and you were hoping to go on another date with him

You were starting to feel a lot more comfortable around him

You were starting to talk a lot more and you felt relaxed around him

And you wanted to tell him this
