Ren eyeballs the shrimp... Not hungrily, and not exacly expectantly... Just out of curiosity.

He hadn't been expecting Hiragi of all people to say that to him. Maybe he should've since Hiragi just seemed to like saying random things out loud sometimes. But why did it make his whole face flush after it happened? That was so not fair. He didn't realize that a comment like that would make his whole body tingle from it. Okay, so maybe he liked being called that. But it wasn't like Hiragi really had to know that right?

"Y-You can't just go saying things like that." And he's moving his arm around all dramatically because of it.

"Of course I do. Why wouldn't I?" Ren wouldn't have asked it of him if he didn't want it.

"Yeah, sure," He teases. Endo always claims that they should fight. But they never end up getting around to it. Which was fine. Sometimes it was nice to not be fighting. But if Endo kept insisting he wouldn't necessarily back down.

He blinks a little at the younger male's question. Trying to wrap his head around what the other just asked him. "Hah?" Ren was still trying to think about the question. The tip of his ears turning a little pink as he thought about it.

He didn't like the fact that there was this distance between the two of them. Especially after everything that has happened. A smirk falls on his lips whenever Endo almost said the word 'kiss.' It causes him to move closer toward the other. Allowing himself to place one of his hands on the other's chest. "You know you could actually say the word. It won't kill you. But yes, yes I do."

Honestly, Ren wasn't sure what came over him. When he got that text from Nirei, he had a feeling that him and his vice captains should check it out. It's not like any good was going to come from whatever the first years were up to. He should know since he was also that way when he was first learning the ropes of being a grade captain. And for some odd reason, he already felt the need to protect them. Especially that other grade captain.

It surprised him how they ended up where they were now. The fight was over and the younger captain was helping clean up some of the blood that was on his face. Ren winces slightly whenever the other touches his cheek in order to get wipe off the blood. He doesn't say anything, just stares at the Sakura while the other is helping him. Although, he knows that he needs to thank him. And he will.
