it’s been a very long time since i’ve last revealed my art as a whole, and i really enjoy how far it has gotten. 😊 though i’ve wiped my blog clean, it feels so fresh, and i can start occasionally showing stuff off once again.
The idea that the Cog Nation has a sort of “dress code” is very interesting to me, so I decided to create a simple “chart” showing the average standard for femme clothes, for each Type.
If you’d like to see an in-depth explanation, please press read more!
You are welcome to use this headcanon, with credit please 💚
1. Type-Specific Shapes
Each Cog Type has its own respective symbol, with attached meanings:
🔶 Diamonds for Sellbots (ego and equilibrium)
🔺 Triangles for Cashbots (strength and gain)
🟥 Rectangles for Lawbots (bluntness and judgement)
🔴 Circles for Bossbots (versatility and omnipresence)
These shapes are usually seen in accessories, or attached to the clothes in some form (ie: pins, designs).
2. Clothing Pallets
Color is perhaps one of the most important, broad indicators in the Nation, and as such, each Cog must clad within their respective hues. Any carry-overs (ie: a Name Dropper being assigned to the Lawbot class) must wear their new color.
Of course, white shirts and black shoes are the most common across the board.
3. Clothes
Different kinds of ties, blouses, skirts, shoes and socks are standard among Types. (However, matching platformers, or, high heels of any kind are universally acceptable)
Strangely, the linearity between classes is somewhat minimal, and relies on obscure patterns and subtle societal conventions. The origin of this dress-code is unclear, but reasons for its existence largely lies within the realm of consistency and “traitor checking”.
However, it is also widely known that the lowest classes typically wear more simplistic modern outfits, while the highest wear far more extravagant vintage ones. Suits are the absolute default, and often appear as vests in this case.
Sellbots
Skinny bows --- Puffy blouses --- Long flowy skirts --- Short platformers --- Tights
Cashbots
Standard ties --- Button-ups with detached sleeves --- Short pencil skirts --- Any flats --- No-show socks
Lawbots
Big bows --- Lacy blouses --- Split skirts --- High boots --- Knee-high socks
Bossbots
Fluffy ties --- Very fluffy blouses --- Pleated skirts --- Medium boots --- High socks or stockings

god bless. i’ve seen the interview with filoni about this scene a couple times now but i’ve never actually seen the scene itself??? tcw & rebels were full of kotor references and served as the sweet nourishment i needed to survive
Oh I agree! (both with this comment and your tags). To me I’m quite happy it isn’t canon too - just the fact they had the thought to include the character is incredible to me seeing as, at the time, people didn’t really know what was going to happen to all the Legends stuff. It’s really interesting to see what could have been, even if it never did happen. Honestly the amount of lore and links to Legends material (both KOTOR and from other pieces) was one of the many things that made Clone Wars (and in turn Rebels) so damn interesting. It just felt like a love letter to the fans 💖 (:
Plus just seeing parts of an animated Revan is, in my book, so damned cool considering how much i love the art and animation style they used for Clone Wars and Rebels.
