judging people, their intentions and reasons, yejun had never liked that, but he pitied them. poor, little humans, with their fragile hearts, drowning in alcohol, in drugs, in pleasures that lasted only for a short while. and now, don’t get him wrong, he had been there, had done just anything for a few grams, but that stage of his life was over: his past was left behind, but at times like those, he understands.
when pain is unbearable, one has to cope one way or another, some using better ways than others, which made them feel “holier-than-thou”, but no one was holy. even the priest from the church you visited every sunday was unholy, a SINNER, that was humans’ curse.
