Hello! Tumblr didn’t notify me about your message, so I’m responding to it right now! Isn’t that wonderful of Tumblr?
No.
Ahem,
video games
kittens
the sound of my enemies’ screams
warping the universe around me at my whim
writing a kick-ass scene
You said we could ask about your WIP, so who's the easiest to write and who's the hardest? At least at the moment.
Hello! That’s a tough one…
I guess the easiest are the titular characters, Clockpunk (Dolores) and The Vitalizer, since they both have (I think) developed-enough personality and goals. Writing is always an exploratory experience for me, so while I know these characters well, I still get to make up/discover new things about them as I go. Besides, they’re funny.
The hardest is a toss-up between two other characters, but for different reasons. For one, there’s a new character named The Chemical Man. He has a defined personality, but there’s a lot going on with him—it’s a bit of a juggling act!The other is Dr. Awesome just because he does some mean things in this book, and I don’t like being mean. >:(

Dolores is so great ^^
Aw, thank you. She tries really hard. I’d give you a picture of Dolores saying you’re great back, but all I have is a poorly drawn stick figure of her image. :’D
*paps you for this wonderful endeavour that is writer's radio* I'm excited
Thank you. (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿) I hope you have fun doing it! I’m still trying to figure out which bit to read…
hi hk. how the hell do you focus long enough to write that big a novel
Hi, Anon. I have no idea.
To answer you seriously, it’s really just a matter of liking the material enough to commit to it. The thing about the first book, the length of which I’m trying to match in this sequel, is that I didn’t set out to write a 265k epic. It’s more tiring when you DO set out to do so, but so long as you can keep the ball rolling and make sure there’s a plot and point to everything, it can be done.
That said, here are a couple of tips which might help:
Have plots and subplots intermingle and create consequences. This’ll keep things interesting.
Have an idea of where things are headed. Believe me, it’s harder to get that word count up when you don’t!
Make time for writing. Otherwise it won’t happen.
Hope that answered your question.
Tell me a little bit about your WIP!
All right, thank you! 💙
I’m actually towards the end of it, but it’s a sequel about a group of special robots who once fought for entertainment but had to turn their skills to a world wide war. In this sequel, they’re just recovering from that when FUN strikes!
By which I mean disaster.
Problem is that not everyone gets along…which further compounds their problems. As they try to survive and get over on enemies they thought were dead, they’ll have to prevent a second war from breaking out. Question is, can they?
Features kissing, snakes, bombs, secret transformations, and the f word. 😱 I think it’s going to end up being longer than its predecessor…
sometimes i worry that my first book or first series won't be as good as the rest and will just be a stain on my career lmao
I’m sorry I didn’t answer your ask sooner, Anon. Honestly, I didn’t even know it was here.
I feel you, though. I’ve fluctuated so many times between which book will be The Book, the one that’ll hit the streets first. I think the one I’ve chosen for now is a good entry, but heck, what do I know? I don’t even write series in order. ^_^’
