#30daysongchallenge Day 4. A song that reminds you of someone you’d rather forget about.
It was the year 2013. A meteor exploded over the Russian city of Chelyabinsk, Edward Snowden disclosed operations engaged in by a U.S. government mass surveillance program, Benedict XVI resigned as pope, and Swedish DJ Kleerup collaborated with Eurovision diva Loreen for a hauntingly beautyful song.
I discovered this track while being in a seemingly perfect relationship. I remember walking home listening to it, thinking it would be a great break-up song if I needed one. I thought I didn’t.
Silly me.
It all went wrong on that very day. The day that started the part of my life I’d rather wipe out of my memory. But in the long run, it was a lucky day for me. Though I wouldn’t mind becoming that happy little me from the 2013 again.
