Recovery DVDs
The first and the most important thing to do after buying a new computer is to make a set of Recovery DVDs. Most PCs these days come with an extra partition called the Recovery partition which basically has the OS with all the application saved on it. This Recovery partition can be put on a set of DVDs for emergency use.
This option allows the user to bring the computer back to its factory default. Now lets say if anything happens to the computer , the os can be reinstalled again using this Recovery option which can be put on few DVDs.
The advantage of these Rescue DVDs is that if the Hard drive crashes and the partition is gone, Os can be installed on a new Hard drive using those DVDs.
