i believe
i believe in the power of prayer. and you should too.
i do not and will never understand why tragedies happen. there must be a purpose, but my human brain is too finite in its capabilities to understand the why’s of tragedies.
i do understand the power of prayer. call it faith, call it magic, but each time you pray, with the sincerest of hearts and intent, you can feel the power of your thoughts course through you. you are communicating with the universe, with a Soul and entity far greater than your mind can imagine, and you know your thoughts are impacting the world you live in, even as you have barely managed to utter them out loud.
i cannot be in Nepal to offer my heart and hand. but i am here, now, and i believe in the power of my intent. i will talk with my God, and you can talk to whomever you believe in. i will pray for the lost to be found again, and i will pray for the comfort of the souls who most need it. i will pray for people to keep their faith, and i will pray for the eternal rest of those who had been taken too soon. i will pray for acceptance, for help, for peace, for hope, and for kindness.
i am just one person. imagine the power of that intent multiplied a thousand, a million, a billion times...multiplied by the number of people sending their love and prayers to Nepal. can you feel that power now? everything is wrong in Nepal right now, but it will be better. it seems far-fetched, but, yes, someday, it will be better. life will never be the same, but it will get better.
i believe in the power of prayer, and you should too.
